While I'm glad TNG didn't go down the well of "mirror universe for plot ideas", we also did lose out on a...

I have to admit that I think Disco did the truest realization of the Mirror U in all of its horribleness.
That doesn't mean that I like it any better.
OK, every once in a while DS9 would do interesting things with the Mirror U like Rogue Captain Sisko. Not evil as such.
But c'mon, if I want to see evil and awful I'll watch an episode with Kai Winn. (Seriously, she was SO good!)

My question is how are they still alive...they should have killed each other off, long ago.
Also in the episode 'In A Mirror Darkly ', because of the capture of the USS Defiant NCC-1764, the obviously captured the United Federation of Planets in totality. Full capture would have occurred at moment that the Defiant disappeared, in the episode 'Thr Tholian Web'..
To say nothing about capturing the Klingon Empire...Romulan Star Empire...

I do not like the episodes. I do not find them gratifying.
I don't like The Galactic Empire either but I like Star Wars whether it's the OT or Andor.
I would not want to love in the world of The Expanse but I adore that show. (And the books.)
Mirror Universe is probably one of the more intriguing aspects of Trek to me in terms of alternate timelines.
I like the mirror universe but it was played out by the time Discovery was doing episodes in that universe. I do think a TNG one would have been fun. Granted if they did I guess humans would still be the bad guys but I can already see the crew in my head
1 Riker is the Captain and he is basically a pirate
2 Picard is his personal butler-henchman
3 Troi is head of security and uses her mental powers when torturing people.
4 Data-Is basically a Android built for combat. Pretty much a Terminator
5 Geordi-The one nice guy in the crew. But he also a coward and afraid of what Riker might do if he doesn't obey orders.
6 Worf-Ships cook. KInd of like a Klingon Quark. Always trying to find scams and whatnot to make money

8 Beverly Crusher- Admiral in Starfleet who loves using the ship for various missions she wants to do to someday become Empress of the Empire

Except O'Brien. Miles is the same gruff repairman with a silver lining of optimism in any universe.
Maybe.Its primary function is to give a bunch of goody-goodys a "dark side."
Or it's a fun literary device that I find entertaining.
I kind of like the idea he is more or less the same person in every universe nobody how different that universe is. Even in the universe were humans have evolved into energy creatures he is like the only human to stay in human form and do engineering stuff.

Love PIC S3. The whole ICE thing about PIC S2. I wish they'd been exaggerating, but now I'm convinced they were not. Also, the idea that our society can go in one of two very different directions.
Even as a non-American I could see the ICE storyline in season 2 wasn't an exaggeration even when it was airing.
