NFL 2025: A new era dawns?

He probably did initially, but he’s still getting double paychecks from Denver and whatever other team he’s playing for. That kind of bank can selectively erase a metric ass-ton of regret. Question is, does he have any shame over playing those other teams for chumps while playing like absolute garbage. I’m thinking the answer to that one is also similarly tied in with his checking account.

He would’ve been paid incredibly well if he had stayed. Only he knows.

Dolphins look really really bad. Tua looks lost and might be time to fire the nerd coach.

Daniel Jones looks like a reborn man. All he needed was to get out of New York.

I wouldn’t quite fit Jones for his HOF jacket yet. Miami has very little in their defensive secondary.

Here we go...the Sam Darnold era is about to begin for the Seahawks. Seahawks haven't won against the '49ers at home since 2021...hope that can change today.

Browns K has missed an XP and just missed a FG with 2:22 left in the game.

It has to be painful to be a Cleveland fan.

Nick Bosa saved that game. 49ers looked bad and the injuries continue to be a major problem, but they escaped Seattle with a win. Hopefully Kittle will be alright.

I wonder if he ever regrets forcing his way out of Seattle? He would’ve retired a hero if he had stayed.

Maybe.
It's 20/20 hindsight, but, I get the feeling that he was wearing out his welcome here in Seattle, when he started becoming more about the Brand then about the performance on the field.
His passing skills had shown a marked decline his last season here and he wasn't making the necessary adjustments.
He was pushing back against Pete Carroll trying to switch from a passing to a running game because he couldn't throw the ball downfield as well as he used to.
He was standing in the pocket too long and taking too many hits, when he should have been doing short routes or simply getting rid of the ball.
His contract was coming up for renewal and there was no way Schneider and Carroll were going to pay him the amount he was asking for, for the number of years he wanted.
If they had, and he went out and laid an egg like he did his two seasons in Denver, and the front office ended up trading him, they would have had to have eaten the contract, and they would still have to have paid him what he was owed and the cap space would have been drastically different.
In the end, it was good that we traded him when we did.
