NFL 2025: A new era dawns?

Justin Tucker gets a 10 game suspension for violating the league's personal conduct policy. Even if no one signs him, he can still serve the suspension for the first ten weeks of the season.

No first round pick. Dolphins are getting Minkah Fitzpatrick and a fifth round pick for Jalen Ramsey, Jonnu Smith and a seventh round pick.

Dolphins are trying to tank.

They seem to be beefing up for a run, not sure it makes sense to trade your best player and defensive leader.

A two-year, $60 billion Ohio budget sets aside $600 million for a new Browns stadium. The Haslams want a domed stadium in Brook Park south of Cleveland that will cost $2.4 billion.

It also rewrites their own "Art Modell Law" which, after the original team moved to Baltimore, states that no professional sports team playing in a tax-supported stadium in Ohio could relocate without an agreement with the city in which it plays unless that city is given six months' advance notice with an opportunity to buy the team. Since they're only moving 15 miles, they say it doesn't count.

But the mayor of Cleveland is pissed. In January, the city of Cleveland had sued the Browns over the proposed move, seeking to invoke the "Modell Law."

TIL John Lynch's minor league baseball jersey is in the Baseball Hall of Fame because he threw the first pitch in Marlins organization history. So he's in two hall of fames, one for a playing career and one for historical purposes.

Shit - I think they just jinxed themselves with that.

Reminds me of when RGIII had a special logo designed in the off-season after his exceptionally good rookie year. Then the wheels fell completely off the wagon immediately after. Get established in the game first before getting a logo like Tiger and Michael Jordan, FFS!

How 'bout winning a damn Superbowl first, guys!

Rebranding erases a multitude of sins (looking at you, ValueJet) and Snyder was full of a lot of sin with that team during his tenure as owner. Probably why they changed their look every couple of years.

I personally liked the dark burgundy and gold quasi-retro uniforms, but the 80's ketchup-and-mustard look works just as well for me too.

I honestly don't care if they go out on the field in pink uniforms and green polka-dots (I do, actually, but I'm trying to make a point :alienblush:), so long as they start demonstrating that they can be a consistently reliable team, proving that last season wasn't just some flash-in-the-pan glitch in the Matrix.
