I am surprised to realize for the first time that Aron Eisenberg's name is misspelled in the credits for "A Man Alone" (Eisenerg).

I cannot believe no one ever fixed that. I remember on the original air of "Rules Of Acquisition", acquisition was misspelled, and they fixed that!

Did they have Spell Check back then? I pretty much never used it, so I don't know when it came along.

They did. Also, the number of eyes that were on that, and no one caught it! When I worked in TV, I was part of the approvals chain for credits & titles, so I have dealt with what an intense process it is, and it just baffles me that something like that could get all the way through.

Their shooting schedule was crazy, no one shoots high budget densely written serious TV like TNG anymore and certainly not 23, 24 episodes a year

My biggest problem then was that the channel I had which aired DS9 did stop airing it after one season (TNG and VOY) were on other channels. Therefore I never got the chance to see it back then and discover how the whole series became better and better.

Due to problems with the series being aired on other channels I couldn't watch, finally finding a channel which did air the series and see the whole channel being closed down in mid-season 1 of DS9 and after that problems with DVD:s I bought created big problems for me. It was about seven years ago or so that I finally could watch the whole series from start to finish andf discover how great it is.

Maybe it's easier to see a misspelled English word than catch an error in someone's name?

Kira was seriously on everyone's :adore: list...

    Odo: Obviously.
Quark: Very much a "one-way" thing.
    Dukat: Even more so.
Intendent Kira: Talk about narcissism... and I think alt. Sisko had a thing for her as well.
Jake and Bashir: Both fixated on her in "Fascination", so it's known that there had to be some incipient attraction.
O'Brien: Nothing happened between them, but there were feelings.
    Tom Riker: Short but sweet.

And let's talk about her two other boyfriends...

Bareil: The man who should have been the spiritual leader of Bajor. Not bad.
Shakaar: The man who was the political leader of Bajor. Even better.

And that's just the ones I remember.

Since Mirror Sisko died before we saw the Mirror Universe, it's hard to say for sure. But I think it's more likely that Mirror Sisko saw that the Intendent could help him a lot, and buttering her up would be a good investment.

Better give "Crossover" a rewatch. Mirror Sisko was very much alive in that one.

That the very final day of principal photography on the series was, sadly, the same day as the Columbine massacre. The last day of shooting on the series finale was April 20, 1999, and the day that the gun massacre took place just a few states over. The soundstage lights faded for the last time on DS9 on the day that another facet of our culture's '90s carefree innocence came to an end.

Oddly, I feel the opposite looking back on it now.
I think DS9 had, perhaps, the STRONGEST first season of the 90's shows.
Emissary, Captive Pursuit, Past Prologue, Dax, Progress, The Nagus, Duet, In The Hands of the Prophets
Good to great episodes, with one of them (Duet) routinely finding its way into many people's Best of All Trek lists.

One wonders what the prop crew were thinking when they designed the Bajoran version of a phaser rifle. The shoulder stock on those things is oriented the wrong way.

Their pistols were Ok, though. Probably easier to sight in than those TV remotes the Federation used.
