NYCC Season 3 Trailer

The NX-01 lasted 10 years.
The NCC-1701 for 40.
The A was decomissioned after 7 years as an Enterprise but was likely an older Constitution-class starship renamed.
The B's service length has never been stated in canon but a popular non-canon date has her serving 36 years, being lost in 2329.
The C was similar with her launch date unknown in canon but destroyed in 2344, but likely wasn't very old at all.
And the D was 8 years old when she was destroyed.

Ships with that name rarely make it to the starship equivalent of old age.

I'm cautiously optimistic about this trailer. It's got all the ingredients to be fantastic. We'll see if the the cake is any good at the end or if it's just cellular peptide with mint frosting.

Kind of wish they had bucked the trend by keeping the Enterprise-E around a bit longer.
I was disappointed when I saw the Enterprise-F fly by. I was hoping that the E would have been given a glorious ending like the original Enterprise in TSFS, giving everything she's got to save her crew in the end. The D got screwed in GEN too. One thing modern Trek fails at is imparting that sense of camaraderie the crew feels about their ship. I'd say the last time it really gets acknowledged is by Janeway in YoH:

TUVOK: Given Voyager's damaged state, the probability of your surviving an armed conflict is marginal.
JANEWAY: Oh, I know the odds. But I have to stay. Voyager's done too much for us.
TUVOK: Curious. I have never understood the human compulsion to emotionally bond with inanimate objects. This vessel has done nothing. It is an assemblage of bulkheads, conduits, tritanium. Nothing more.
JANEWAY: Oh, you're wrong. It's much more than that. This ship has been our home. It's kept us together. It's been part of our family. As illogical as this might sound, I feel as close to Voyager as I do to any other member of my crew. It's carried us, Tuvok. Even nurtured us. And right now it needs one of us.

I don't see how she's anything like Khan.

Didn't you know that Nicholas Meyer invented the idea of a villain who has a personal grudge against the hero, and every villain who has a similar motivation must therefore be a ripoff?

"I'll peck, and I'll jab, at everything that makes you, you. We will scorch the earth under which he stands and the night will brighten with the ashes of the Federation."

That has "from hell's heart I stab at thee" written all over it.

I got chills when they showed Moriarty. :) :luvlove:

I can see Data (finally) emerging through a reassembled B4 to have an Epic showdown with Lore. Someone has reassembled Lore, why not B4 as well.

There is still ALOT they're not showing. Like Ed Speleers

I think Worf is filling the Elnor void this season. Instead of a warrior raised by nuns, Worf is a warrior turned pacifist. They're not exactly the same, but it's the idea of someone with a warrior background who's grounded in a frame of mind with strict morals.
