Last movie you saw?

I Care a Lot on Sunday. Great flick, but if I´ll ever watch The Wheel of Time I will could never like the character of Moraine Damodred. I will see not just Amy Dunn, but also Marla Grayson!

Mank
(Netflix)

And I loved it!
Watched it the day before the statuette-give-aways, and actually thought it would get a few of them! -But then, I didn't know about it until a few days before that anyway.

Loved how it had the feel and look of the thirties films that I loved -plus so much more of that very same feel -and then I relly like both Fincher and Oldman!

With all the recent kerfuffle about Rotten Tomatoes reviews I decided to give Citizen Kane a go for the first time last night. Irritatingly, I knew what Rosebud meant from a pub quiz years ago but, that aside, it's pretty remarkable for an eighty year old movie.

Definitely worth watching.

I recently watched Rurouni Kenshin; Kyoto inferno and The Hunchback of Notre Dame, both for the first time. I really enjoyed the first but Hunchback was a bit disappointing, nice to hear Kevin Kline though!

Without Remorse over on Amazon Prime. Was decent enough, but really wished they incorporated at least some of the novel that it was based on into the actual movie. Basically, it was Clancy's novel in name only.... couple of character names used and that was about it.

Last week I watched Predator 2, and I thought it was pretty good. It was pretty much your standard, ridiculous, over the top, 80s action movies, and I enjoy those kind of movies.
I actually started it once before years ago, but stopped for some reason and never went back. I think I just didn't like it at the time, but my tastes have changed a lot over the years, so I'm not to shocked I enjoyed it this time.

Those Who Wish Me Dead. Entertaining enough, looks pretty, decent pacing, everyone does a good job with what they're given, but the script is severely lacking. But the resolution makes no sense as it could've been invoked at the beginning and then none of this would've had to happen.

Watched The Mitchells vs the Machines and Thunder Force via Netflix the other night.

TMvTM was pretty funny, enjoyed it quite a bit.

TF was just dumb.

My favorite son rented Venom so he could be ready for the next one. It wasn't exactly what I had expected and it was entertaining but the sound kept getting loud and then soft and then very loud, etc. Looking forward to the next one.

Watched Zac Snyder's Army of the Dead Friday night via. Netflix. Was a decent enough popcorn flick.

Watched In The Heights on Friday, and Raya and the Last Dragon yesterday. Really enjoyed both of them.
