Who would you pick

You could bolster your medical staff with Dr Crusher?

You could have Miles O'Brien who is a dab hand at jury rigging and improv engineering?

You could have Jadzia Dax who is a scientific genius with 300 years life experience?

Maybe Guinan could start a bar and put neelix out of business?

Who do you think would be most useful and who would you pick?
 
Crew member, or Cast member? For example, would Odo be eligible? Having a shapeshifter on board could come in handy sometimes in the unruly DQ....

Yup he could be chief of security even since Tuvok is chief tactical
 
Probably Data... he'd be super useful since he's not human/biological (mostly) and could be impervious to a variety of interstellar threats (I'm thinking of the nebula in One, which I just rewatched). He'd also give the EMH another sounding board, so he wouldn't drive the VOY crew as crazy. :rofl:
 
Somehow, I can see the EMH taunting Data that, while being his A.I. brother, he is still limited to his physical body, making him (EMH) much more versatile and "upgradeable".

Of course, it would be well within Data's capabilities to use his hyperspeed, tap in a few commands in a console and immobilise Doc just to teach him a little lesson in humility, but that's something Data wouldn't do :)

You know, I'd go with Nog. Sounds like a joke, but, in the dude's own words: "I have my father's hands and my uncle's tenacity."

Technically prowess would be useful, but Nog has proven incredibly adept at getting in with the right people and securing information or resources. Imagine having someone in the Gamma quadrant able to work out deals with unsavoury characters, gain access to information unavailable through more official channels, and get things Voyager needed for the best price.

This mission needs a Ferengi!

I agree with this, but I'm not sure Janeway and Nog would mix well. I could picture her reprimanding him a lot over the kind of underhanded deals he makes :)

She cut Neelix some slack on these kind of things, but then again, he wasn't in Starfleet ...
