Robin Williams dead at the age of 63

If you cannot laugh at Robin Williams' comedy genius, you are not human.

This is horrible. What an awful end for someone who made tens of millions of people laugh all over the world. :(

Re: Robin Williams Passed Away

R.I.P.

He was one of this generation's greatest comedians.

Indeed. Terrible news. :( One of my favorite roles was always Keating in Dead Poets Society, although it was one of Robin's less common dramatic roles.

I've never seen Dead Poets Society. I'll definitely have to, now. I think tonight I'll watch all of my Robin Williams movies, in his memory.

I bought his first live comedy album when it came out and listened over and over, until I could recite it verbatim.

Funny, I was just running some of the jokes in my head the other day.

Rest in peace, Mr. Williams. You made me laugh.

I loved him. Though his most recent show, "The Crazy Ones" wasn't renewed, I watched every episode and thought it was brilliant. At least he got to reunite with Pam Dawber.

What an awful subject heading to spot while browsing TrekBBS! I grew up with Williams' material and he was an early favorite. I've watched movies I knew would be crap, otherwise, just to watch him in action. His serious drama was powerful..

I'm just in shock. This is how I felt when Jim Henson died back in 1990- like a huge part of my childhood died.

I'm stunned. I've been a fan of his since the stand up and Mork and Mindy days. I recall seeing him in the 80s at a concert he was Emceeing. One of the acts was late for some reason, so Robin got up up and improvised for a hour till the act arrived. He was hilarious.

RIP

What?! Holy shit.

I....I don't even know how to process this. He grew up in the same area where I grew up. I've been laughing myself silly at his comedy concerts and performances for most of my life.

What a tragic loss.

I think I need to go have a good cry.

One of the first things that popped into my head when I read the news ...

Will Frank Caliendo choose to stop doing the impression?

I know, it's a little strange. Frank does the best Robin Williams impression I've ever seen, and I'm a sort of an impressionist connoisseur. But Frank's a stand-up guy (no pun intended), so I imagine he'll give it a rest for a while.

In the meantime, this is a big loss. I like to think that Mr. Williams would like for us to keep on laughing.
