50th Anniversary boxset DVD Sept 8 release date!

I wonder why it is only available for the British crowd? There doesn't seem to be a version for Region 1.

yea that's a bit of a downer..i do have a region free Blu-ray player tho so I am getting it for sure. It was a bit more expensive but I watch a lot of Chinese Anime

Normally I wait till the prices come down, but ISTR this is a limited release so I've preordered it... (also I never got the previous releases of DOTD, TOTD, or AAISAT because I knew this set was coming)

Just received the set, and I have to say, other than the inclusion of The Five Doctors Reboot in the same disc as Adventure in Space and Time, I was dissapointed. Why include Name of the Doctor without some substantial new extras? And this may sound like nitpicking, but why is Night of the Doctor NOT in the same disc as Day of the Doctor? I have a beef with this because I always view that as a prologue to the thing, and I wanted it on the same disc (joke's on me, I know). Similarly, the amount of deleted scenes for the three episodes is staggeringly low - not even Day's deleted scene was in there. WTF?

Really, if you have any of those already on their own, don't double dip for this. Not worth it, IMO - although The Five Doctors Reboot and Adventure in Space and Time made it certainly worth it enough. The really low amount of extras, and the wrong order of covers (why isn't the War Doctor in front of Day? The Tenth in Name? The Eleventh in Time?), I'd say the BBC has dissapointed once again. Thanks, you stupid frakkers!
