Any bee-like species in Star Trek?

Yesterday I watched the live-action film adaptation of Ender's Game, and it made me wonder: canon and non-canon Star Trek has had sentient insectoid species before, but have any ever been based on bees? (Ender's Game compares Formics to ants, but I think they look more like bees)

I think one of the Gateways novels (or Mission Gamma: Twilight?) depicted the Jarada as something like big bees or wasps, though I prefer the more mantis-like version depicted in V.E. Mitchell's Imbalance.

If I'm remembering correctly, the description of the Unclean in Time's Enemy made me think of them as wasp-like.

I also seem to recall one of the comics showing a crew being attacked by wasp-like creatures, but I don't recall if they were aliens or actual animals... or what crew or comic it was in. Sorry.

All the bees and bee-like species disappeared before they had a chance to evolve that far.

I just watched the first TAS episode, "Beyond the Farthest Star," which features a huge ship that Spock describes as being designed similarly to the honeycombs of Earth bees. Later in the episode, we see one of the giant ship's crew on an ancient recording and he(?) looks insect-like -- possibly bee-like, if you squint. I think the depiction is vague enough to meet your criteria.
