Kahn comic from Into Darkness

I'm sure this has been mentioned but I can't seem to find it. If Washingfon DC was destroyed, how could the President be seen in the Oval Office later? Was this a goof or was he somewhere else?

Thanks! :techman:

I'm really being called out on a typo? I never understood people who go out of their way to be a douche.

Thank you for the link, but what I meant was I'm sure the error I'm talking about was mentioned on this board...or maybe it wasn't? Washington DC is destroyed, but later on it appears to show the President sitting with his head in his hands in the Oval Office. If DC was destroyed, this would be impossible.

IDW is notorious at making mistakes in their Trek comics. Compared to showing the TMP Enterprise design with the registry NCC-1701-D to say nothing of how often we see 24th century LCARS computer displays, the Oval Office surviving the destruction of DC is small potatoes. I suppose you could rationalize it as a replica of the Oval Office in an underground bunker or something if you really wanted to.

It seemed to me that Enterprise1701 was thinking that you "can't seem to find it" perhaps because you were typing in the wrong spelling.

So they wouldn't rebuild the President's office?
