I don't think that's SF/F enough for this contest. Is that the Professor from Futurerama and Meatwad with horns?

No, it's not Meatwad. It's Goofy Grape of Funny Face drink mix that board member RJDiogenes uses for his avatar.

Though RJDiogenes is SF&F oriented, I'm still going to disqualify that AV. Let's make it more SF&F.

I must disagree. This is a brilliant avatar-- in both senses of the word. The character is also devastatingly handsome. In addition, he appears to be the victim of a transporter accident, a la Star Trek or The Fly, involving a Mad Scientist and a talking grape (who happens to be the Earthly manifestation of a writer of genre fiction). What could be more SF than that?

I'm afraid to ask who Meatwad is.

You know, the baffeling thing, other entries didn't meet the qualification of "smart".


River Tam wasn't smart, she was a psychic with pogrammed abilities. Her brother was the smart one.

Vizzini was an idiot. He only thought he was smart. He was the equivilant of a Occupy protestor or some online nut who gets his info' from wikipedia and argues stupidity.


And for goodness sakes, we got the same character twice in the vote options.

River was at least as smart as those who were around her and who knows what sticks after they leave. Also, neither Orac or myself had a problem with BigJake's double entry (who was aware of the prior entry when he entered). As for Vizzini, I not familiar with the character but... it's the thought that counts?

I took "same character" as the same character, not same poster but everything's fixed in the new thread.
