Yes TFF is at least 2 people's favourite.

How about GEN. Is that anyone's favourite?

The Undiscovered Country is my favorite, despite some of the beating it's taken the last 10 or so years. I love it when Trek get's a little political and TUC still holds up because of that.

I haven't seen that, but I can believe it. I happened to see 2 headed shark attack on the space channel last night and watched it again. It's so funny. You can see the people standing on their marks waiting to give their line while they are fidgeting with their hands, and once they're up they scream their line. And oh god Charlie O'Connell gave an oscar worthy performance.

I don't know if I've done this lately or not.

    TWOK/TMP/TFF (kind of a tie)

    TUC

    SFS

    TVH

I guess TNG films go in descending order 7 through 10 (gen is ridiculous, but marginally entertaining, which puts it above its sequels for me)

The abrams fall well below these for me, although ID is tons better than 09 imo.

I hate lists. For me, films are either entertaining or not. And I put every Trek movie in the former, aside from Insurrection.

    I really do not know . . .

I'm not generally a fan of lists; but that aside I do usually have a watching order. Most frequently, I'll watch the six movies through in order - though if I want a quick fix, I'll watch The Wrath Of Khan, The Search For Spock, and The Voyage Home together. They seem like a continuing story to me.
I enjoyed the DE version of The Motion Picture so much more that the original theatrical release.
I enjoy much of The Final Frontier - but really dislike what Nicholas Meyer did to The Undiscovered Country. I know I'm being sacrilegious, calling out Meyer, but he took a really good story and nearly torpedoed it with his incessant submarine visuals. And while we're at it, what does he have against Chekov - though I should spread some of that blame around with the rest of the writers. They make the poor guy look like a complete fool throughout. Okay, done ranting. Well . . . just one parting shot - I can only imagine how good that film would have been with Leonard Nimoy at the helm. All puns intended, by the way.

Final Frontier is entertaining to me. But I love TUC, and there is no way I can put it in the same category.

Generally, I list by eras...simply because a movie set in the TOS era is Apples and Oranges with the TNG era.

However, because the JJ movies do take place in the TOS era, even if it is an alternate universe, I will combine lists for TOS and JJ.

So, that said, here goes: (shields up against photon tomatoes :) )

    1. Star Trek Into Darkness
    2. Star Trek 2009
    3. Star Trek VI The Undiscovered Country
    4. Star Trek II The Wrath of Khan
    5. Star Trek III The Search for Spock
    6. Star Trek The Motion Picture
    7. Star Trek IV The Voyage Home
    8. Star Trek V The Final Frontier

    TNG era

    1. Nemesis
    2. First Contact
    3. Generations
    4. Insurrection

I await the punishment to be doled out by the fans.....(with a giant stick hidden behind my back....) :D

I feel the same way. Nemesis, while it has a ton of issues, actually feels like a movie in a way the others simply don't.

No, it simply takes independent thought and opinion. An advantage I have to not being a fan of anything. I do not adhere to fan-dogma when it comes to "which is the best/worst". :)

I have listed my reasons in other threads as to why Nemesis is my favorite TNG film, despite the fact that I know it is a highly flawed film.

Here's a different spin on "the list"...with the amount of space between each movie representing how far away it is from the pervious film.

    2. Star Trek III: The Search for Spock

    3. Star Trek: The Motion Picture

    4. Star Trek V: The Final Frontier

    5. Star Trek 2009

    6. Star Trek: First Contact
    7. Star Trek Into Darkness

    8. Star Trek: Nemesis

    9. Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country

    10. Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home

    11. Star Trek: Generations

    12. Star Trek: Insurrection
