That publicity shot is slightly misleading in terms of what to expect from the movie. But I would probably like Star Trek better if they wore evening clothes all the time instead of dorky pajamas.

I finally just got around to watching "High Plains Drifter" that I recorded from the TCM channel. They cut out Mariana Hill's most 'interesting' scenes. BASTARDS!!

Are you sure it was TCM? They show movies pretty much uncut from what I've seen. Including the old pre-rating era Tarzan movies with Jane's nude scenes.

Yeah, just a few weeks ago, they ran Gene Roddenberry's sex-flick, Pretty Maids All in a Row, uncut--with all the 70's era nudity intact. Ditto for lots of old horror and exploitation pics.
Maybe it depends on the time of day? In my experience, they tend to run stuff like Blood on Satan's Claw in the wee hours.
I did like the unisex mini dress in early TNG. The one guy had the legs for it anywaysand I liked it a lot better than Troi's early outfits.

Whoever first makes a leather jacket in the style of a TNG unform top will have created the sexiest Trek outfit ever, though this here VOY-ish leather jacket is a pretty solid attempt.
That would work well for an episode set in "Living Witness"'s Warship Voyager historical reconstruction with Evil Janeway. "Violence... it's the Starfleet way."
Indeed. I was somewhat stunned to note that just last week, TCM followed a showing of Scarface, Howard Hawks' 1932 classic with the 1983 Brian de Palma remake, a film that set some records for obscene swearing, along with heaps of gory violence.
