Sexually speaking a woman on fire is about as useful and safe as a 200 degrees below zero woman... Although if we consider zero sum, then, if you don't mind the steam, a woman on fire shouldn't have any problem snuggling with a 200 degrees below zero woman...

Pubic grooming? I'm assuming that Firehawk has a blazing snatch under her costume when she's powered up? And that she mentally changed the colour of her bush while J'onn was dying in the clip above, and by the way, why isn't her hair, and Firestorm's hair contributing to the Manhunter's impotence, especially if it is a psychological illness and not a literal infirmity... But the point I was heading toward, which will make all women hate her, Lorraine does not have to shave her legs: Whether in her super hero identity or civilian guise, she just magically wills the hair on her legs to vanish, and it does.

    (#####!)

Thinking about it, there's a lot of superladies in fiction that can side step the ordeals and tragedy of keeping up with the feminine beauty regime... I'm not sure if Supergirl using her heat vision to burn off the titanium-like bristle she calls leg hair fits on to the pro list or con list? It does seem easy, but it also means that she smells constantly of burnt hair, which isn't a nice smell at all.

The irony about J'onn's powers fading in the presence of fire... Is that if he had his powers (intangibility, fight, super jumping, super speed) he could get away from fire with ease.

Actually I wouldn't be surprised if J'onn telepathically enhanced and magnified (or invented?) the antismoking hysteria in the DCU for the last couple decades, since he can't walk down the street without doubling over in pain, if every third person is smoking a lit cigarette in front of him can he know?

I do not recall (I didn't read Stormwatch) if the New 52 Martian Manhunter has any issues with fire?

Hasn't MM's vunerablity to fire changed a couple times over the years? At one point it was an actual physical vulnerability, then for a while I thought it became a psychological fear.

Yes. But 4 years ago the DCU collapsed, and restarted again adopting completely new origins ad principles for all it's characters. The New 52. So all previously accepted facts about everyone are now just potential facts until ratified by canon.

Ratified by canon... I swear, we are all such dorks sometimes.

Doesn't change the truth of your statement, but I can't help but laugh.

Great news! I kinda assumed they'd not use Captain Cold since they already have Killer Frost.

Making a Flash show and not using Captain Cold would be like making a Batman show and not using the Joker.

I really wish they would just confirm or deny definitively whether the tv and movie universes will one in the same or not. I need to know if I should hold out hope on ever seeing Hal Jordan appear. I've said it before, but having Hal never appear when both of his best friends have shows would be a tragedy.

Snart always struck me as an unusual name. Possibly totally made up. So I googled it. One of the links was ancestry.com which showed in the US it was found in Illinois, Iowa and Kansas. All States in the area Central City is located. The only other state listed was Pennsylvania, which at one time was the location of Keystone City.

The quality of it or the actual content? You know, what, if you answer either question, "Yes," I agree with you.

As for Hal showing up, and I say this as a Hal fan, it's got to be fantastic or they shouldn't even bother. I'd rather neither show feature Hal, then for them to botch it (Green Lantern the movie, I'm looking at you).

The irony is it probably sounds made up because they created the character in an age when a comic character with so many possibly pun name choices (first and/or last) shows up with a name that doesn't use any of them, it's an oddity. Consider, Mr. Freeze is Victor Fries.

It's actually a minor miracle that the rogues somehow avoid this trope.

I doubt they're connected. If Man of Steel had happened in the Arrow universe, surely it would've been mentioned by now. And apparently Affleck Batman's supposed to be a well-established veteran around for quite a few years, which doesn't seem to fit either.

Also, it's rumored that Amanda Waller will be in Batman v Superman as a senator, which doesn't fit with Arrow's version of the character. That's just a rumor at this point, though.

Personally I hope they aren't connected. The CW shows are handling the DC Universe much, much better than Zack Snyder has so far, so I'd prefer them to stay separate.

Actually Mr. Freeze wasn't given that identity until 1992, in B:TAS's "Heart of Ice." Before then, he was never given a real name except in his first appearance in the 1966 TV series, where he was referred to as Dr. Schivell. (Which is interesting, since it was quite unusual for that show to give any of its villains civilian names. Also it gave Schivell/Freeze an origin story in which Batman had accidentally caused his cryogenic condition and he was seeking revenge.)

I subscribe to the line of thinking that it couldn't possible be worse than the movie. I mean, Geoff Johns helps oversee the shows. We've all got to agree that if anyone knows Hal it's him.

Yeah, but he did the same for the movie. He's listed as a "co-producer."

I hope he is identifiable asCaptain Cold. I get that Arrow (so, probably Flash as well) don't like having anyone except the hero in a costume, but the last time there was a live action Cold with that type of thinking, in the 90s series, from what I saw he was lame. While some kind of cool (pun not intended) costume would be nice, I'll settle for the glasses. The last thing we need, though, is for every Flash villain to be some random bad guy in street clothes only identifiable by powers. Arrow gave Deathstroke and Deadshot at least identifiable attires slightly based off the comics at one point, so I hope Cold at least gets distinctive the glasses. I also hope he isn't a albino assassin . I am really excited to hear about Flash meeting one of his rogue's gallery in season 1 (hopefully he'll be a recurring villain). I hope we get more as it goes on, and that they're done well.

    Professor Martin Stein! Yesss!!!

Finally, we have ourselves both pieces of the original Firestorm for the first time ever in live-action.

I wonder what the Nuclear Man himself will look like, having fire for hair and all.

Glad to hear it. Nice to see that, every so often, DC is able to resist copying Marvel.

Now, the question is, will Gotham be in the same universe as the CW shows? Almost certainly not, I'm sure, since they're on different networks. And I gather that Gotham's makers want something grounded and naturalistic, and The Flash is bringing the fantasy to the CWDCU big-time.

Let 'em have their fun with their multiple versions in different media. I've no problem with that.
