Is it canon that God is at the center of the galaxy? Also...

All I saw in ST5 was an insane alien which claimed to be God. This in no way means the alien actually WAS God.

This is also my attitude towards The God Thing.

As a Christian, I'm not offended by either of these things, because I simply don't believe either of them are God.

Anyone, or anything, can SAY that they are God. But only one can actually be so. ;)

I don't know about god, but the basis of the devil is in the center of the galaxy, according to the Episode; The Magicks of Magus-Tu.

At least, I think it was the Center.

Canonically speaking, we have no idea what's beyond the galactic edge, nor what that barrier could possibly be doing there.

As for what's at the galactic center: I just said. It's just some weird alien. Obviously not God. It just said it was.

So what was at the center of the galaxy?
See my first Quote.

Chewy caramel.
LMFAO!

That was answered in Futurama.
It is an exact duplicate/mirror Universe, with the only difference being that everyone wears CowBoy hats.

You know, if the universe is infinite in all directions (insert your mom joke), I actually am the center of the universe. ;)

They didn't find God in TFF, it was only a powerful energy being. God was in people's hearts, according to Kirk's infinite wisdom. So I guess that one is canon.

My take on the "center of the galaxy" is that they are not referring to a exact point in the galaxy's core, but rather a general area inward of the Federation.

Given the speeds that are (usually) shown for starships, the voyages in The Magicks of Magus-Tu, and Final Frontier weren't multiple year journey's.

Now, is God at the center of the galaxy? Of course, because God is everywhere.

:)

And what do we know from Star Trek universe about what is beyond the milky way?

Lots of space dust and other galaxies. The Enterprise made it to galaxy M-33 then the edge of the universe in "Where No One Has Gone Before".

I dont get the whole edge of the universe thing., surely theres a lot of galaxies out there. How did we get from basically being able to travel to the edge of our galaxy at maximum, to the edge of the universe?

You'd need to watch the episode.

Spock also speculated that the Doomsday Machine came from outside the Milky Way.

The Doomsday Machine said:
SPOCK: Projecting back on our star charts, we find that it came from outside, from another galaxy.

The Kelvans are from the Andromeda Galaxy, or at least it seems safe to accept their claim. Certainly what we know about the Kelvans is a lot more verifiable than what we know about "God".

Canonically speaking, we have no idea what's beyond the galactic edge, nor what that barrier could possibly be doing there.

Keeping the Kelvans out?

Chewy caramel.

Have we seen anything beyond the milky way?

Outside the main galactic disk: Milky Way Dark, I imagine.

Yeah, I didn't mean the center, I was just trying to remember what they said in the Episode.
