No, the eBook was just listed a little bit ahead of the paperback release. Seems to happen quite often now.
A little let down by this. 3 of those writers aren't my favorites. I kind of bummed the current editors seem to prefer to work authors I like reading less than someone like KRAD who consistently wrote books that I enjoyed.
I've only read the first Rise of the Federation book so far, I'm a little behind on the new stuff this year, but I like CLBs Titan and DTI books more.
So yeah, while I'm really looking forward to something every month the rest of this year, it looks like 2015 will get off to a slow start for me.
I think your tastes are really different from mine, ronny, but I will agree with you that the TrekLit line these days is a little bit all over the place. Just in the last two months - I thought One Constant Star was super disappointing, I could not possibly be loving The Light Fantastic any more, and I didn't buy the TOS ebook at all.
I will say, though, that every year for the past few there's been at least one total jaw-dropper. TrekLit might be uneven now, but stunners still show up fairly often. Such as The Light Fantastic.

I've kind of fallen out of love and touch with Trek books the last couple of years, but if there's an Aventine centred book coming I'm all over that.
Hey Thrawn, I've always thought our tastes were pretty similar. You have higher and lower peaks and valleys, like a couple of the Voyager books you LOOOVE I just think I really good, but I thought we were generally in the same ball park. I'm curious, what did I say in my previous post that makes you think our tastes aren't alike.
I'm sorry to hear you were disappointed with One Constant Star. I was looking forward to it. DRG has written some books that I LOOOVE including Serpents Among the Ruins.
I'm with you. I'm hoping that 2016 isn't super TOS heavy either. I'm in line to buy 11 of 12 of the monthly books this year, and I would hate to only get 6 or 7 out the 12 they release. Maybe 2016 will see the output grow to more than 1 per month

The only way I see that happening is if Pocket decides to issue reprints of some older books to celebrate the anniversary. They did that in 2006, so there is precedent.

Actually, I've done TNG, DS9, Voyager, and even nuTrek in the past, but TOS is still my favorite series to write. Those are the characters I grew up with, so my heart still belongs to TOS . . .

I've got a question that maybe the rest of you know how to answer. For the Vulcan's Soul trilogy, is Vulcan's Soul supposed to be a banner title as in Destiny or The Fall or does the trilogy have an invisible The Original Series banner title?

I am glad to have Una's DS9 book and the Aventine novel with Riker and Picard showing up. Good to see not too many TOS books, I like variety. Plus continuing the Enterprise series with CLB new book; good start to the year! I would like to see more DS9 and movie era books personally. So glad Greg's book is movie era, that is such a rich era for stories.

Count me in on this too. I've always been a fan of Greg's writing, and I love movie-era books. I can't think of too many that are set between The Final Frontier and The Undiscovered Country, apart from Dayton Ward's In the Name of Honor and the latter-day part of Peter David's The Rift. Looking forward to seeing Greg handle the more seasoned versions of the crew, especially Spock, who has undergone such change by this point in his life.
(I really wish Christopher L. Bennett had been allowed to write follow-ups to Ex Machina, still one of my favourite TOS books of all time and one of the few to take specific advantage of the time immediately post-TMP--Howard Weinstein's excellent The Covenant of the Crown being the other.)
The Captain's Table; War Dragons and Excelsior: Forged in Fire are in that period, as are Mere Anarchy: The Blood-Dimmed Tide and most of the second volume of DC's TOS comic. Probe is theoretically post-ST V, though it was really written to be post-ST IV and had a couple of superficial references to ST V put in when it was delayed. There's also the novelization of the Starfleet Academy computer game, and a couple of Strange New Worlds stories.
I have done two partial followups, Mere Anarchy: The Darkness Drops Again and DTI: Forgotten History.
