Favorite DC & Marvel Character?

DC: Guy Gardner. He may be a jerk, but he does have a heart, and he will never ever stop in the service of doing what he knows to be the right thing.

Marvel: Deadpool. The Merc with a mouth has a direct line to my funny bone. Yet underneath the crazy exterior lies a truly tortured soul.
 
DC: The Spectre. I've always had a weakness for the spooky side of the DCU.

Marvel: The Vision.
 
DC: The one and only Superman.
Marvel: A tie between Spider-Man and Daredevil.

I'm not trying to rain on your fabulous joke, but DC has recently given up. The Captain Marvel Character is now outright and only called "Shazam" since his introduction into the New 52 after the not exactly recent reboot.

Maybe this shows a new level of maturity from DC, or maybe they're just a wet sack of wussies.
 
^DC and Marvel have to worry about trademarks, but I couldn't care less about the legalities. As far as I'm concerned, his name always has been and always will be Captain Marvel.

Favorite DC character: Batman, with Superman a close second.

Favorite Marvel character: Wolverine.
 
DC: Cassandra Cain (before they screwed her character up)

Marvel: ..hmm...does "all the X-Men" count? Honestly I think Marvel is better at ensembles than individual characters. If I had to pick one then I guess I'd have to go with Robert Downey jr's version of Iron Man...or X-23 because Wolverine + tits = win win! ;)
 
I liked it when the Wizard Shazam died a few years back and everyone else got a promotion.

Billy became the new Wizard Shazam guarding the rock of Eternity, and Captain Marvel JR became the new Captain Marvel.

Of course in the big even last month, the evil Alexander Luthor from Earth III had the powers of Mazahs.

I want to say that Squirrel Girl is my most favourite Marvel character, but she just has not been in enough books to qualify.

Squirrel Girl = Wolverine + Tits!

(They are pairing X23 romantically with Young time travelling Cyclops from 20 years ago stuck in the present.)
 
I never thought of it that way before. Have Adult Cyclops and Adult Wolverine commented on the fact that their younger selves are getting to third base with each other?
 
I should note that I haven't been following comics for some years now. I think the last Marvel book I read was "One More Day" and the last time I read a new DC book I think they were rebooting the universe for the 597th time and had JMS re-inventing Wonder Woman.

I don't think they've even kissed yet, but Jean had a tanty, read both their minds and ranted about how unfaithful he was to herself even though they are not an item and she was making out with Beast a week earlier.

(Yes! Beast! I know!)

Greg Rucka is writing about young Cyclops swashbuckling in Space with his father at the moment, so he is going to come back to Laura dripping in space STDs or holding hands with his alien girlfriend.
