As an American, I have no problem with the British version saying "Avengers Assemble." I think it's a bit clunkier, but it helps avoid confusion (not confusion with what you're going to see, but confusion if you're discussing it later). Although I was aware of the old TV show, so having to note which one I'm talking about was already on my mind. This is comparable to changing S.H.I.E.L.D. to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to avoid confusion with The Shield. By comparison, Avengers Assemble is way less clunky than Agents of SHIELD (although I've gotten used to that).
The only title changes that bother me are the complete abandonment of the title character in the Captain America movies. I'm OK with The First Avenger (although I wish "Captain America" appeared, just less emphasized). What bothers me is making the sequel "The Return of the First Avenger." The First Avenger made sense in the first movie because it was a set-up for the Avengers movie and an origin movie for SHIELD as well as Captain America. It makes considerably less sense for the sequel.

Wasn't South Korea one of the countries where Captain America: The First Avenger was retitled The First Avenger? I was surprised by that because I had thought Koreans liked the U.S. enough to not be bothered by the name "Captain America".

The Return of the First Avenger was the title in Germany. The title wasn't widely used. The film had "Captain America" in the title in almost all international territories, with the title being Captain America: The Return of the First Avenger in a few cases.
Which was a pain in the neck, because it was on Pay-Per-View for a while before I realized I should have been looking under M rather than A.

I don't get why they'd change The Winter Soldier's title. I can see them getting rid of the Captain America part, but why did they get rid of The Winter Soldier? Couldn't they have just called it Marvel's The Winter Soldier, or even The First Avenger: The Winter Solider?

The character in the comics would be 5-10 years older than me if he aged normally; so, about 60. Most of those songs come from the early-to-mid 70s. The most recent of them is the "Pina Colada" song (my least favorite on the list) and came out in either 79 or 80, if memory serves.

That came up in my 70s Music thread a bit back...it had the dubious distinction of being the last #1 single of the 70s, as I recall.

It could have been put together yesterday. However, if it was the 80s, chances are he'd have more 80s hits on there. Younger kids aren't really known for their preference for their parent's musical tastes.
How young are we talking about? 12 or 14 years old is when I tend to think of people really getting their own independent taste in music. 8-10 not so much.
