Boy, this thread has been an enjoyable read.
One side labels folks as "deniers" and attacks the other side for labeling "warmists". What hypocrites.
CO2 scrubbers I say...

I'd much rather the government put these on all coal and gas plants rather than invest in "green" companies that were doomed to fail.
I'd much rather see this tha elminate entire towns because "someone" thinks coal is a bad thing. The thought that that is acceptable to anyone is frightening.
I'm a "sky is falling denier".
Have we warmed? Sure. But it you make conclusions based on that short window of data (since the industrial revolution started I guess) then I don't see how you can discount at leveling temperature over the past 20 years, as the amount of CO2 pumped into the atmo has increased. But hey, that doesn't "fit the argument".
See the problem with this whole thing isn't that we all disagree that using renewable energy sources is a good thing. It is. But... the techology isn't there yet to make it feasable on a large scale. Until that happens, making the transition isn't going to happen... PERIOD... no matter how many people scream. No matter how much more money they take from me to "fix" it.
When hydrogen cell cars become affordable, I will buy one.
When electric cars that equate to more that a golf cart become affordable, I will buy one. I really want a Tesla, but 80 grand is a little steep.
Oil comsuption isn't going away either. Look at everything around you. 99 percent of it is made by or using oil.
All I can say is nearly every climate model since they started climate models have been proven wrong. That's not a good track record.
Not my fault.
But hey, we have a new study, release with a new show, at the same time France says we have to act now or the human race will go extinct.
But hey, NDT knows that Venus was just like Earth so... really folks? Jesus...
If you're fine with the Climate change popoganda that is "COSMOS" then fine... I personally think it's a far cry from the orgional. Too many blatent lies in this one.
All to further an agenda.
I'll stick to "Though the Wormhole" ... they don't preach to anyone. They provide all different views in an intellegent manner. The last one was fantastic. It discussed the thought that poverty might be genetic. If you haven't seen it, I recommend it. Along with all the other episodes of this intelligent series. (Oh, and it nararrated by a professional, but a mundane mono-toned activest)
I've watched Carl's show at least 5 times from start to finish. The last 2 on the 'ole computer.
I won't watch the lastest imitation again.
