Ishara Yar

I've never understood why Beth Toussaint didn't rise to a higher level of stardom in the entertainment business.

Drop dead gorgeous and I thought she was a fine actress as well.
She's also married to that guy from Heroes, Jack Coleman

You are aware that the two actors are sisters, aren't you?

No, they're not.

Linda Hamilton does have a twin sister (who 'doubled' for Sarah Connor in T2 when the T-1000 is impersonating her) but it's not Beth Toussaint. Linda's sister is named Leslie.

I thought she did a terrific job in "Legacy" and it would have been interesting had they originally cast her as Tasha when the show began. Not sure if she was on the producers' radar at that time but I think she would have been great in the part.

Jack Coleman and Beth Toussaint met on the set of "Nightmare Cafe" which was a Wes Craven show. It was canceled after 6 episodes. She was a guest star in one of them. All 6 episodes are on YouTube.

I was sure I read they were sisters somewhere. I checked my TNG books at home, and nothing. I searched Trekweb, and all I found was a post I made in 2009 stating it!

Well there ya go - you read it on the internet, so it must be true!

;)

I'm stuck in a temporal loop. I found what I wrote in 2009, but did I travel back in time to tell myself that I will remember writing, thus prompting myself to write it in the first place?

Oh no! Now this massive paradox you created will destroy the Universe and kill us all!

I'm not sure if I like Beth Toussaint with long, flowing hair, though ... it looks much better, keeping it short, the way it was.

Searching the Web also found this thread (don't know where it's originally from, but it appears to be from an old Trek BBS:
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/rec.arts.startrek/eor0bB9B_bY

``Appears to be from an old Trek BBS''?

I'm going to soothe my ego by pretending you're being sly about rec.arts.startrek because I am not old thank you very much.

I remember that BBS, too. I merely meant that it's not a current Trek board (or is it?).

I don't know about anyone else, but I've certainly been enjoying the Eye Candy that's been presented here - the Eye Candy that is Ishara Yar!

I wish TNG had provided a better context for how Turkana got so screwed up and why the Federation seemingly never tried to reassert their authority there. That's not to say there aren't plenty of possible reasons for such a scenario; indeed, I think it's a very interesting setup for plots. But it was always very vague, and arguably didn't fit in with other elements of the show.
