Marvel planning Guardians of the Galaxy movie!

Is it a TV spot or a full trailer? Trailers generally don't debut during TV shows. At a minimum, you run the risk of taking away broadcast time that needed to go to the episode.

I'm sure a Marvel TV series on a network owned by Disney would have worked in some time to show a full trailer for a movie taking place in the same universe the TV series takes place in. (Even though GotG doesn't yet connect directly to events going on on Earth.) They've already spent air time, either taking away from the show or ad time to show trailers for other MCU movies and BTS pieces.

Anyway, for some reason I cannot watch the trailer as when I clicked on it it's lifted as "private."

I suspect there's an online utility that generates movie trailers from a database of every cliche known to man.

The new trailer looks pretty good. I'm hoping the movie lives up to its potential, having a movie like this succeed (besides just giving us a good movie) can only help the chances of Marvel making more movies that take chances with characters that aren't Avenger related.

Supposedly, yeah.

I noticed the blue is more subdued compared to the toy. The color is actually pretty close to a certain other potential Kree we've seen elsewhere.

Finally got a chance to watch the trailer, some Flash/Java issues on my computer. Pretty good trailer, I think Rocket may end up working for me.

That was a great trailer. So far I have not been given any reason to doubt that this movie will be awesome. I noticed that in some of the other versions Rocket has a British accent, but here he has an American one, is this a change from the comics, or did the other versions come up with that on their own?

I noticed in both of the previews I've seen, John Riely says "They call themselves the Gardians of the Galaxy" and then online the other guy says, " What a bunch of Aholes"
But brodcast on ABC during the Sheild finale, he said "What a bunch of jerks."

You can't say "Ahole" on tv?

I'm looking forward to see Nebula, I see she's already cyborg Nebula in this movie.

You can say A-Hole on TV, at least as far as the FCC is concerned. It's possible, for the 8:00 hour, ABC objected (I don't remember it airing). It's also worth pointing out the line was recorded specifically for the trailer, so they may have decided to mix it up.

I didn't realize that was a trailer only scene. Will there be a different scene in the movie? I guess it doesn't matter, I want to see it anyway. When I first heard that this was going to be the second movie of 2014 (back in 2012) I wasn't too happy, but now I'm really looking forward to seeing it. Although, Drax doesn't look like I'd pictured he would, the rest look great. And I'm a little suprised Nebula is a cyborg already. Maybe that will happen in the movie. I wonder if she will be Thanos's granddaughter or not.

I haven't read it, so I don't know the details, but there was a comic that dealt with her and Gamora and their relationships to Thanos. So apprently they do both have some kind of relationship to him and each other.

According to Latino Review, Josh Brolin = Thanos.

Yesterday, the Marvel Cinematic Universe page on Facebook ran a prank story that Thanos was going to be played by Arnold Schwartzenegger, and I totally fell for it.

ArnoldThanos: Avengers, I will send you to Infinity...and beyond!

AT: Come on, Avengers...up and at'Gem!

AT: Frankly, Black Widow, I don't give a gem.

AT: Show me the gems.

AT: You're not sending ME to the jewler.

AT: A gem a day keeps the Doctor away.

AT: Avengers, I think you'll find that the power of the gauntlet is...gemuine.

I think Brolin has *more* than earned the right not to be saddled with his role in 'Goonies'. The bloke has some serious chops. ;)

As for the jaw-line...give that this is probably a voice and performance capture acting gig, the actor's physicality isn't that big a factor.

I think he'll do a good job. Looks really aren't important when it comes to these kinds of roles since he'll either be covered in make up or he'll be doing motion capture for a CG character.
I wonder if he is CG if they'll just use the same character design from the Avengers or if they'll change him to make him look more like Josh Brolin?
