FLASH series being developed for The CW

^ edit lol we're on the same page

Do people really care what time anything airs anymore? Ever since getting a DVR I pretty much watch shows in whatever time and order I want to now. And I figured that's what most other people were doing as well.

You know you watch too much TV when you need to upgrade to a four tuner model, I'm finding times when the two isn't enough.

The Flash going against Agents of Shield on Tuesdays seems like a mistake to me. Although finding a non comic related show timeslot is getting very difficult.
Agents of SHIELD has been moved back an hour on the 2014-2015 schedule. The Flash will be up against a comedy block of two new shows - Selfie and Manhattan Love Story - on ABC.

When's Agent Carter airing? Right after Arrow?

If the schedule is true, then good marketing on WB's part (as opposed to Once Upon a Time in Wonderland). I imagine a lot of cross over audience

Agent Carter will air in Shield's timeslot while it is on break. Different network and night from Arrow.

My cable company's dvr can record at most 2 shows concurrently, and even then it doesn't allow you to watch a third show while doing that. The networks always manage to put a third show on during the same time slot, making me choose.

I feel your pain. Between my wife and I, there are quite a few shows we are unable to record. TWC is supposed to be coming out with a 6 tuner DVR. I hope it happens before this fall.

Worse yet is the fact that the networks keep timeshifting the shows by about 1 to 2 minutes past the hour. So if I am recording shows at 8pm and 9pm on one channel and a third show starts at 9pm on another channel, I get a scheduling conflict because of that _one_ minute of overlap from the 8pm show.

I just torrent the episode a day or so after it airs. That's how pretty much everyone I know watches TV these days. It's a major pain in the ass to watch TV live.

We have a 4-tuner Tivo Premiere - I don't care when things are on anymore and I try to pad an extra minute when I can.

That's where On Demand cable can help. Or the networks' websites or Hulu, although you may have to wait a week or more to see an episode there.

I used to keep a VCR hooked up to a second branch of the cable as a backup, but my new DVR/cable box is too sensitive to handle having a VCR plugged in as well as a TV (it creates some kind of signal feedback), so I had to stop doing that.

The cable here is all digital, so you can't just hook up a vcr anymore. I have resorted to the on demand on occasion, but it annoyse me that the fastfoward is disabled. If I wanted to watch the commercials I'd just watch it live. Network websites help too, but I would prefer if the cable company just deployed DVR's with a higher number of tuners.

Well I was smiling through that trailer but am very pro Flash. Loved the tornado running bit as it is classic Flash. I guess I will have to live with powered rogues though but hopefully it is done well. The Reverse Flash killing Barrys mom has great promise for a super speed running battle. Cant wait!

Interesting that they're starting out with three main characters (as well as crossover guest stars) already knowing that Barry is the Flash, and having the Flash essentially acting as STAR Labs' agent. Sure, the 1990 series had Barry partnered with Tina McGee, but she was the only one at STAR who knew his secret, and she was assisting him, whereas here it looks more like he's assisting them. I guess they want to duplicate the hero-and-team dynamic that Arrow built up more gradually over the first season.

Yeah, seems that way. Which is fine by me, as it should allow for a lot more fun interaction. And the idea of an outgoing character like this having a support team certainly makes a lot more sense than a loner like Green Arrow, I think.

Hooking the VCR up to your digital cable box still works just fine. However going from HD to VCR quality is kinda unacceptable.

Ahhh, the definition of first world problems.

The less characters 'in the know' the less true interactions there can be. Eventually you start to wonder about the intelligence of some of these people if you can't suspend disbelief enough.

But if you have the VCR hooked to the cable box, will that allow you to tape a third channel? I would think you'd be limited to whatever channel you tune the cable box to. Which completely defeats the purpose.

Loner? Did you see how many people helped Ollie in the season finale? And most of them knew who he was under the mask.

Actually I haven't watched in quite a while. I was just going by my general impression of the character from early on, and from how the character has typically been portrayed in the comics and cartoons.
