Not sure about Gordon but Donal Logue as Bullock is interesting.

Yeah, I really liked him in Copper.

Who is that other actor (the first one speaking). It looks like Dep. Commissioner Rawls, but he's not credited.

Not really sure it's necessary to feature childhood versions of Catwoman and Poison Ivy, and perhaps other characters. And I don't really feel like we need to see Bruce beyond the pilot episode (assuming that we will). But I'm interested to see Gotham in the years before Batman. Featuring the Penguin in his early days is an interesting idea.

I think it looks really amazing. I have my fingers crossed for some Joker.

I bet that they save the Joker for later seasons. They should reveal him as little as possible. The Joker works better as a mysterious near force of nature.

I would like maybe a recurring unnamed nightclub comedian, who we never see completely but just get to glimpse him bombing onstage in the background, with no real reaction beyond the odd eye-roll from the characters. His voice or maybe a skinny build would be enough to wink at the audience.

Trailer looks great and very much in Batman Begins 'crime movie that just happens to feature Batman' mould. Did they also use the music from BB?

I'm looking forward to this. I wonder if at some point we'll have a visit to a circus to see some acrobats.

Selina Kyle I like having, mostly because the actress looks extremely cat-like. Plus, a childhood thief makes sense.

I almost wish that they actually had some of the villains as villains. Yes, I realize Batman normally is the one to stop them, but I don't think that's necessary in the Gotham universe. The one exception would be Catwoman (OK, Catwoman and the Joker).

Is there any word yet on whether or not this show will have its own version of Ra's al Ghul in it?

(Or versions, if they wanted to have the title be held by a different person by the time Bruce Wayne grows up.)

The trailer makes it look like an average procedural with some Batman characters shoehorned in. Who cares what a 7-10 year old Bruce Wayne was doing? And why would Poison Ivy as a kid be anything worth seeing on TV? I might watch the first episode, but I don't see myself watching much of this show. Outside of seeing a few weird child versions of villains, its probably going to be the Gotham police fighting gangsters named after comic ones (like Falcone) and average police stuff. That makes sense from a TV perspective, its cheap and brings in all the fans of bland, but highly watched shows like CSI. But, as a comic fan, it sounds very boring.

I like a lot of the 2-minute trailer. The parts I like feel like Homicide: Life on the (Gotham City) Street. If that's what the series can be, I think it could be great.

The only thing I suspect I might not like - I am guessing that they will go down the road of an organised plot behind the death of the Waynes - I've always been a big fan of "random senseless act of violence"

    Say what?:vulcan:

The show doesn't have to be about the Avengers popping up all the time, but just how SHIELD handles things (and least they're not trapped in angst like Smallville was, plus they've had the occasional appearance by a superhero.)

Warner Bros. has no TV network of its own (the CW is for, and skews to younger viewers) and this show has older people in it, so that's probably why FOX is showing it.

He's on L&O:SVU now (plays the new lieutenant) and he's great in that. Unfortunately this Gotham thing probably means he won't be staying there.

It was good to see Lt Rawls from The Wire in a similar role in the trailer. I'd love if his relationship with Gordon was like the one he had with McNulty in the Wire - constantly calling him a prick, giving him the finger and telling him how much he hates him.

Unlikely, I know but I can dream.
