Areas on ships we never got to see

I seem to recall reading somewhere that Data has ensign's quarters just because he doesn't care what his quarters look like. But I may be getting that exclusively from the interactive technical manual.

The novels state Data had standard quarters for a second officer on a Galaxy class ship. In fact in one (Indistinguishable from Magic) Geordi is assigned to another Galaxy class ship as second officer and ends up with quarters that are described as being the exact same as Data's on the Enterprise D.

But Data had a cat. Didn't Spot deserve a view?
How is Spot supposed to lick his paws without a windowsill?

Data's quarters were the same size as Kirk's quarters on the Refit Enterprise.
Wasn't there a never seen additional room behind Data's desk? I remember a doorway.

I wonder if having a constant view outside would be always a good thing ...

^^ That's what the window shutters we saw on TOS are for.
I want to see the ship's pool. And it has to be classy and creative. Not like a pool at the YMCA. There's a club/hotel on Ocean Drive in South Beach that has a pool in the bar area, with tables and lounge chairs around. I think it's the Clevelander. That would be a cool place to hang out off duty.

I'd like to see the enlisted berthing areas of the Enterprise-E. We saw something similar in STVI with silly looking bunk beds. Each area would be one large room split up into smaller rooms with 4 to 6 built-in bunks each (nuBSG style). With built-in desks and lockers. There'd be one common shower area with sinks and toilets. And a common area with tables and chairs with view screens and possibly portholes to view outside. Basically like junior officers berthing on an aircraft carrier. But roomier and nicer.

Along the same lines, I wouldn't mind getting a fuller, more illuminated view of the ordinary crewman accommodations aboard Voyager. IIRC, we only got brief, limited snippets of said digs, such as in Good Shepherd. Though there's no real reason to think that these quarters would have been materially augmented from their layout in earlier class designs, it would still be interesting to see features on a contemporary canon vessel.
