Possible Kronos One study model

As I said elsewhere, I am friends with Jon A. Bell and Bill George, so I'm sure it's legit.

Ricky,

That's a bummer, I am actually looking for a copy of Jon's R2.5 book that has the cd at the moment too.

Let me shoot Jon a message and see if he wouldn't mind if I sent you the 3ds file of this ship.

Are there Private messages on this board?

^ There are PMs, but you need at least 28 posts before you can access that feature.

Thanks, I appreciate that. :)

I am planning to build my own 3D model to print out, but it would be cool to be able to check out that original file.

I remember reading somewhere that Nilo Rodis had created a study model for Kronos One but never saw pics of it. Chances this is the same ship?

You're probably thinking of the Klingon BoP. Rodis built several study models for that ship for STIII. This model for Kronos One was built by Bill George.

^I have pics of one somewhere. It's bluish in color and a lot more spindly than the finished product.

What I'd really like to see are the study models for the Grissom. The only one ever shown was the one labeled "Valiant" that looks similar to the final filming model, but there is at least one other.

Bill George says he still has one of the BOP proto models. I need to show up on his doorstep and make him show me. :)

I'd like to see this and Grissom fully fleshed out if someone's got the time - engines, lights, the works. I like seeing new Klingon and Romulan designs. I think the Warbird, Bird of Prey(s), and Klingon Cruiser / Vor'Cha are way overused (along with the Excelsior, Reliant, and Grissom models). It's always great to see new ships and models, whether from fans or those behind Trek. Vektor, Deg3D, the Grandeur models, and dozens of others I'm forgetting at the moment - so much talent in this fanbase!
