I'm guessing we'll get an announcement of some kind or another. By that point filming will have been underway for several months and both Disney and Lucasfilm might feel comfortable letting something leak to the public.
The Episode name, perhaps? We knew the titles of the three Prequels a whole year and a half or even two before they were each released so we're already in the timeframe for the official release of the new film's title. We'll likely know the Episode title and the main cast by the time Comic-Con wraps.

I'm not a fan of that idea myself, but maybe it's just a rumor or something that may have been an element in the Arndt script treatment before Abrams and Kasdan took over. If it doesn't happen I certainly won't mind.

I just rewatched the first appearance of Satine, and my interpretation is that they never actually did anything. Of course this could be my bias because I always think of Yoda and Obi-Wan as the perfect incorruptible Jedi who never have a slip the way most of them do. I was under the impression that they loved each other but Obi put duty first and they never even kissed.

The writers can do a helluva lot better than that. Even the lamest parts of AOTC were better than that.

I don't really remember a Satine/Obi romance in The Clone Wars (Yes, a close relationship, but a romance, I missed that?). Is this played up in the novels, or did I miss something? I did rifle through the 5 Seasons pretty quick, and may be forgetting something
I think Obiwan and Yoda did love each other, but, it was a "pure" love, that transcended kissing...Oh...wait, that's not what he meant, is it

I'd say it's open to interpretation either way.
There's no question that there was a strong mutual attraction. IIRC Kenobi flat out tells her that if she'd asked him to, he'd have left the order to be with her. Again though, whether that equates to a consummated relationship is wide open to interpretation.
Put it this way, if memory serves they were on the run together for something like a year back when he was a padawan. By contrast, Anakin and Padme knew each other for all of a few days when the former was a pre-pubescent and then a decade later spent what appeared to be less than a week together before secretly getting married. So yeah, in SW terms there was AMPLE opportunity.
Mind you, if we assume for a second for the sake of argument that Kenobi had a daughter and she shows up in EPVII, then in all likelihood she'd be in her mid-60's in the very least. Seems like a strange and fairly pointless way to introduce a character.

I always thought the whole prequel idea that Jedi aren't allowed to have partners is ridiculous. I wouldn't mind if they retconned that one.

It's always possible Luke changes the rules for the revived Jedi Order so that inductees can have romantic partners, but in a way I didn't mind the old Order having such strict rules. It made them seem more archaic and beholden to their duties as inefficient and dumb as many of their rules were.
The old Jedi Code helped explain their eventual downfall. They were too rigid to adapt to the extent they needed to.

In a galaxy of quintillions of individuals and a trait that seems to exist in most if not all sentient species, you'd be hard pressed to make any significant impact, even over a period of a thousand generations. Also, as we saw in TPM, not all children born force sensitive are detected by the Republic. Qui Gon literally tripped over Anakin by accident/will of the force.
Besides, the prohibition isn't against breeding, it's against attachments, as those lead to passions and the dark side. It just so happens that for some species (including humans) the two are very hard to separate.
Presumably there are many species for whom procreation doesn't go hand-in hand with such things. Any species that reproduces asexually for starters. Insectoids, or perhaps any species that is predominately matriarchal.
Not sure what Lucas's offical view on the subject is, but going from the EU stuff, it looks as though it's one of those things that was introduced somewhere along the line as opposed to from the founding of the order.
In the TotJ comics you have Jedi Masters teaching multiple students, mostly in early adulthood as opposed to from a very young age. Hell, Nomi Sunrider was a married woman with a young daughter when she began her training.
The Order also appeared to be much less centralised, with huge (and rare) convocations instead of a central council. For the most part, Masters appeared to be more or less independent from one another.
I'm just speculating, but maybe part of the reason why the prohibition was introduced was that having Jedi intermarrying and essentially creating dynasties of increasingly powerful brought with it a greater danger when one of them inevitably fell to the dark side.
The Sith appeared to have some kind of feudal system, so it appears as though this was how they did things originally. It would certainly account for why the "purebloods" were almost all powerful force users while the rest of the species was divided into lower castes.
