Happy FIRST CONTACT Day!!

However we did have canon violation already, since the Eugenic Wars never took place and no one sent up Khan & Co. with the Botany Bay in 1996 ... right??

You missed that? The newly launched MSNBC was the only network that carried the entire thing, including the launch. Unfortunately, only 17 people were watching at the time.

Have you hugged your Vulcan yet today?
Speaking for Vulcans in general, I think we would prefer not to be hugged by more-emotional species.
A simple, intergalactic hand-sign of acknowledgement and appreciation should suffice.
But, First Contact Day is an historical event of considerable significance throughout the Quadrant, since it led eventually to the founding of the Federation.
Live long, and prosper, my friends.

I endorse these statements. After all, they would both get a hearty :techman: from Ambassador Neelix. Hell, I'm sure he would even throw a catered party for the occasion.

Calling occupants of interplanetary craft!

Calling occupants...of interplanetary, most extraordinary, craft.

Hmmm...CNN said it was a hoax, Al Jazeera America said it was a UFO, and FOX said the flash of light we saw in the sky was not a UFO. Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and reflected the light from Venus."

:guffaw:

Well, *I* remember Khan, anyway.

He was the greatest Cricketer who ever lived. ;)
