Avengers 2 News, Rumors, Etc. Pictures until release...

Is Spider-Man any weaker than Captain America? I understand that Spider-Man can lift over 20 tons, he can jump higher and he can shoot webs. He doesn't have the good Captain's shield, but that's about it.

Spidey was tough enough to take out the entire X-Men team in "Secret Wars" until Xavier took him out with a mental attack.

Heck, every time he and Logan fight Logan always ends up with his ass kicked.

I wonder, though. If Spider-Man could be in the MCU, how would they reconcile the damage from the Chitauri Invasion with the apparently perfect New York from The Amazing Spider-Man?

Marvelous News has a better pic of Cap.

That's...better than his first Avengers look, but the red seems really out of place. Like it was added in after the fact.

Just caught up with the last few pages (wanted to see The Winter Soldier first) and this is looking pretty cool so far. Tony and Stark Industries definitely look to be the catalyst for this one.

Jarvis' voice actor is listed in the cast as being given his own suit, Tony is apparently wearing his Mk 42 (albiet colour inverted) and Ultron is apparently some thing to do with his tinkering.

Also, after a bit of checking, Hawkeye is using the new Hoyt Dorado GameMaster. They must have a contract with Hoyt for the series, since he was using a heavily modified Buffalo last time.

But I don't see Coulson anywhere in the cast list, since they're already filming I assume something in AoS is going to have him missing this one out.

I would guess that too many people that don't watch the show would wonder how he was alive.

Really? I can imagine an inside-joke scening like:

Tony walks through a corridor on the helicarrier, with Thor. Coulson passes by.
"Hey Phil."
"Tony."
Coulson walks on, Thor's nearly in shock.
"Was Son of Coul not slain in our previous battle?"
"He did. Got better. Try to keep up, slugger."

I really wonder when and how Marvel will do Coulson's reveal to the Avengers. It'll either be really well-done or really butchered.

It'll probably end up being off-screen, like Angel and Buffy reuniting after she came back from the dead.

I don't think it'll be ignored forever. If they didn't want to save a reunion for a movie, they would have let Lady Sif tell Thor. That being said, it seems less necessary than I would have once imagined.

As for the general movie-going audience's expectations, I would imagine they have some idea that he's not dead because he keeps appearing in ads for a Marvel television show. They probably don't know the details, but I don't think they need to know them.

Yeah, anybody who cares enough to remember or care that Coulson died in Avengers would have probably at least heard that he is back, even if they don't watch AoS.
