what's your local weather?

We had flurries yesterday. In Alabama! :wtf:

Today is, supposedly, the last really cold day we're going to have. (I don't trust it.) Currently about 21F and very sunny. Yesterday's high winds have died down, more or less. We're looking for a high just under 40 - which would be nice since I have a couple meetings to walk across campus for at lunchtime.

Dang :wtf:.

Funny pic btw, rather fitting up north too. It's been rather cold lately. Today not so much thankfully. Supposed to get up into the 40's. Right now though, it's raining, sleeting and hailing O_o.

38 degrees and partly sunny. A lot colder than expected, but we're due for a significant warmup in the coming days.

I washed my new car today, therefore, they are calling for rain the next two days. 70s beginning Sunday, though... supposedly Spring has arrived.

It doesn't seem to me like it'll rain today, but it's in the forecast anyway, for the next four days. Currently a toasty 35F and supposed to get up to 52.

There are three guys with leaf blowers blowing dirt, dust, and even leaves, off the parking lot across the street. I think they could've waited and let the rain deal with it, and then we wouldn't have dust clouds. Or white noise.

It's currently -18C, with windchill (base temp -11C). It's not supposed to get above zero here until next Friday.

It's snowing again, and I'm reminded of the "springs" we had in 1986 and 1987. We had a huge blizzard in March 1987, and I sincerely hope we will not have what happened in 1986: A humongous blizzard with a dump of snow that shut the city down for 3 days (no electricity) and took over a week to clear the snow... on May 29.

Dear Mother Nature: I have errands I need to do tomorrow and Tuesday. Please hold the snow until I'm done, kthxbai.

10 C and raining. The snow is departing rather quickly today.

Ha!! We suck. Woke up this morning to 5 inches of snow. No friggin' idea where that came from!! Anyway, it ended up 7 C and most of it is already gone. Crazy, crazy winter/spring. Tired of it!! I want to get my boat in the water, except there isn't any, yet. It's still ice!! Good God..as a Canadian, I should be used to this crap. It's what I had as a boy, but we've been too spoiled over that last dozen years. I want open water.....

OK, I'm better now.

Thank you for your time.

Carry on with your regularly scheduled programming...

Day 4 of rain... further north it turned to snow again, though, so I'm not going to complain. It may yet turn to snow here. But it's 36F, and supposed to get up around 47, so I'm counting that as progress. And the crocuses came out over the weekend! I'll try to get a photo of them sometime this week.

Springy
Yesterday it reached 16 º
A friend took me for a violet-picking walk around the allotments...

Violets grow in all the hedges in that place!

These, had ants...

Once you've picked the petals off you pour vodka over - and a few days later you have the most fantastic violet-vodka!
