A French Revolution game would be interesting, I guess, if a tad predictable. The plan to create two separate games for the two console generations seems a bit much, however. I almost wish they'd just do a next-gen release so that the old generation will die more quickly, and I say that as someone who doesn't have a next-gen console yet.

I'd agree with that if the new gen consoles were backwards compatible. Which they aren't...

I'm not saying I plan to get rid of my 360 any time soon, I just want a reason to get one of the new consoles, and so far all I've got is the new Infamous and slightly prettier games. The longer publishers keep releasing games for the 360, the longer I'm going to put off upgrading.

I know that they're going to be two separate games, but with all the AC I've played in the last five years I doubt I'll have the appetite to play two of them this year, so I'd probably just play whichever one comes out on the 360 (depending on reviews).

Same. It's hard for me to justify the upgrade when my PS3 still works AND they're still making games for it.

And so? Just because it's “hardly the first time“ doesn't mean it's good.
