Gone too soon. The actor, who played Aleaxander Rozhenko, has been found dead, probably due to a drug overdose:

His portrayal of Alexander on TNG was flawless, he made the son of Worf totally believable and touching for the viewer. He probably didnt know, but he was an important part of the TNG family and one of the reasons the show was special.
He will be remembered by the Star Trek family.

Obviously it's not entirely unexpected, he's very publically had problems for years now. But definitely a sorry end to a fine young actor, who sadly was one of many talented child actors in Hollywood who has fallen through the cracks when they grow too old for those kinds of parts.
