Della Van Hise writing Enterprise novel?

I was just on Chapters-Indigo.ca, and I noticed that Della Van Hise has, apparently, written a Star Trek Enterprise novel that has been published in German!

I'm assuming that it is Killing Time, but why it would have a cover featuring the NX-01 and even the Star Trek Enterprise logo on it...I've got no idea!

Well, I've picked up enough fragments of German to know that Zeit zu Töten would pretty much mean Killing Time, and the description "...Kirk auf einem vulkanischen Schiff unter dem gestrengen Captain Spock..." sure seems to fit. The ENT logo and cover art must be a mistake.

EDIT: Actually "zeit zu töten" apparently means "time to kill," which I suppose is one way to interpret "killing time" -- i.e. a time of killing -- although not the default English meaning, which is, well, causing time to be killed.

Meanwhile, the German translation for "killing time" (while waiting for something, etc.) is "Zeit totschlagen", roughly "beating time to death". "Zeit zu töten" is more title-y because it retains the "you can read it two ways" feeling of the original - it could be read as either "it's time to kill" or "there is time for killing". This is one of those interesting cases where a translation doesn't capture the original meaning, but the original intent of being a pun. Language is fun.
