Unless her publicist delayed the announcement I suspect she's probably only 5-7 weeks along. Every woman I've ever known who thought she might be pregnant had it confirmed in that range.

I've known some women who started showing as early as weeks 18-20 and some who didn't start showing till week 30.

I think that they can film her action scenes early and the real heavy stuff her stunt double will do anyway.

Doubtful. A pregnancy announcement usually comes a few months into a pregnancy and the movie will likely shoot for five months or so. Although, depending on how big her part is, they might be able to schedule her scenes for early in the shoot.

Well they're saying she's due in August, so it sounds like it's already pretty far along.

I'm guessing we're going to be either seeing a lot of Scarlett from the chest up, or Black Widow will be wearing a big coat through much of the movie. Lol

If they do, they'll just map her head onto a stand-in or stuntwoman. Or, she can wear a blue medical smock. Works all the time. :)

Her role is supposed to be really important. I wonder if Ultron kidnaps her as his intended Jocosta.

Quite a bit in Hollywood doesn't use the actor in a scene. She unfortunately won't have the benefit of context for her reaction shots, but they can probably use a stand-in for group interactions and some careful filming for pickup shots.

Speaking of blue...in this day and age, couldn't they just do some CGI magic on her abdomen?

They can cgi all they want, but doing those kinds of stunts when you are 5+ months pregnant is NOT an good idea. As I'm sure ScarJo's doctors have explained to her.

Man, if only Hollywood had a way around actors performing their own stunts. How novel an idea is that? But what would you call them? I can't think of anything interesting for such a profession, if "profession" is even the right word for something that would be so incredibly rare and unheard of.

    One day, maybe... one day...

Maybe they'll do a lot of the old CGI the actor's face over the stuntwoman's face...?

ScarJo does most of her own stunts. She only lets the stunt performers take over for the really dangerous stuff. But when you're pregnant even hanging from wires to execute a flip or spin kick can be dangerous for the baby. They could try using a stunt woman for everything but that usually looks kinda fake.

And on the subject of RDJ, he just posted a video on Facebook of him going through his workouts for A:2 to show everyone an an example of the exercises he has to go through.

Which is great and all but, 13 million people tried to watch it and crashed the server, so check back tomorrow I guess.

    13 million...?

Well, this is what happens when you (a) do the promotion right and (b) consistently deliver good product to the cinemas.

Should there be a place in a future AVENGERS film for Anthony Mackie as Falcon? The actor is dying to join that franchise.

Eh, perhaps, if it fits the story. I don't get the impression it fits this story. The point of The Avengers, to me, is having the characters of different franchises (plus some Avengers-only characters) team up. So he would have to establish himself as separate from Captain America for it to really work for me. But anything's possible with the right story.
