The lady with all the earirings...

Flying Spaghetti Monster

Vice Admiral
Admiral
when the ship is going to crash, the camera pans and we see a lady with like tons of earrings... about to scream.

For some reason, all the earrings are distracting.. takes me out of the moment.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Never noticed the earrings.

But while on the subject... did anyone notice if LOLguy from the trailers made it into the final cut?

^^ Reminds me of that smiling extra in Generations. I'm surprised they don't fix that in post production.

You know what I sort of found distracting? As the Vengeance is falling toward San Francisco; nearly everyone in the crowd is wearing sunglasses. Also long coats seemed to be a thing for the general population.

I'm not sure I really understand the point here.

Is it that women or people in general shouldn't wear earrings in the future? Uhura Prime wore them in TOS, so I don't really get that.

Is it that they should dress for the moment, in case they are going to witness a starship crash into their city? It's the future, so they probably can't argue that it's out of the question. I guess I'll have to give the OP that one.

Oh, I get it. It's another round of "Let's find the pickiest nit to pick," right?

The future's so bright, they gotta wear them. It's full of lens flare.

There was a bit of a Matrix fashion vibe, yeah.
Not so very different from what can be seen in the Financial District of San Francisco today, though.

Other than being pretty, the only thing I found "distracting" about her --but in a good way-- is that she's Cynthia Addai-Robinson, who played Naevia in Spartacus: Vengeance & War of the Damned. She's also Amanda Waller on Arrow, though that came after STiD.

I wonder if they are the actresses own earings or are some prop?
Well I mean a whole thread on earings - I want to know wear to buy them,

I want LOL guy in - to give us something legitimate to complain about.

I just searched through that section several times, in slow motion, and didn't see lol guy show up.
