Time for Shatner to say good-bye to Star Trek: we don't need any more cameos from the original cast.
We don't need no thought control either. But Abrams and that pesky Jedi mind trick...we don't need any more cameos from the original cast.
I think he meant "oui."We? Who are "we"?
ST3 = reboot of Treks II & VI (again).
set after the Enterprises 5 year mission. an augment worshipping nut wakes up a furious Khan (like the engineer in Prometheus) and he breaks out of Area 51 with some of his followers (most are killed in the escape) hijacks science ship Reliant which is running tests on the new Genesis device (constructed by Carol Marcus) and plots revenge on the Federation (& Kirk/Spock)
meanwhile the klingons have been plotting an invasion of the federation after the khanage in STID, led by the sinister Colonel Chang and the brutal Captain Kruge (kirk vs khan vs klingons = total Khanage!)
title = 'Star Trek Vengeance of Khan'
tagline - 'At the end of darkness....lies vengeance'
*Guest stars- Bryan Cranston as Chang, Gerard Butler as Kruge, Gary Oldman as Gorkon, Jason Moma as Lt Worf, Taylor Kitch as Joachim.
*Cameos- Arnold Schwarzenegger - Klingon Emperor, Harrison Ford - Head of Starfleet, Scott Bakula - Captain Archer, Brent Spiner - Dr Arik Soong, Patrick Stewart - Picards ancestor, Leonard Nimoy - Old Spock (surprise!) & William Shatner - Old Kirk(big surprise!)
Stephen Collins as Matt Decker (father of his character in TMP, hed be older than Matt Deckers supposed to be but then so was Greenwood as Pike)Do you know what? I wouldn't have a problem with that one bit
although it was abit of a fun story now i think about it neither would I..
Gorkon/Worf could oppose Chang/kruge.
khan would be full on 'wrath of khan' khan out for revenge
everything more 'ST Movie' looking in regard to the uniforms, sets, ships, mushroom spacedock etc as itd be set 5 years plus after STID
plus plenty off cameos for the 50th:
Bakula/Spiner as Archer/Soong in an 22nd century Augment opening, or library footage that kirk spock check out to help with khan(maybe even on a holodeck sim to These are the Voyages.. fooling the audience type thing) maybe Spiner as the nut who wakes up Khan (as Arik or Noonian Soong)
Stewart as grandfather Picard (see Generations Picard/Troi scene for potential profession)
Nimoy in something more than phoneaSpock duty. returns to his home timeline?
and Shatner in a fanpleasing end cameo as old Pine Kirk (not Prime Kirk) maybe with old Quinto Spock (something like Cloud Atlas)
(like 1984 Arnie in T4, ...
He was the body, but he had Arnold's face digitally rendered over top of his.(like 1984 Arnie in T4, ...
That wasn't CG Arnie in the same way CG Bridges was CLU. It was actually Roland Kickinger, who played 1970s era Arnie in a biopic:
yeah but this Star Trek is Blockbuster Trek. They are following the SW and TDK trilogies, that way of thinking/doing stuff. There wont be some pontificating 2001/TMP type hard SF film. It'll be another action movie - with the klingons (and maybe Khan again, like Vader) with some homage heavy stuff for the 50thWe absolutely don't need a re-make of the same movie. How would that advance the Star Trek saga? We want new stories, at least the last two movies were original even if they were based in part on (but altered elements of past stories).

Ignoring the "real Trek" silliness, you missed all the Trek references in the last two movies??It'll be another action movie - with the klingons (and maybe Khan again, like Vader) with some homage heavy stuff for the 50th
I wonder how they can represent this homage stuff in the nuTrek-movie. All real Star Trek stories belong to Prime Universe. They have only one persuasive reference to the Prime Universe (PrimeSpock). Not enough, IMO.
Ignoring the "real Trek" silliness, you missed all the Trek references in the last two movies??![]()
Way too many to list here. Young Spock being bullied was from "Journey to Babel" and "Yesteryear", Spock talking about Kolinahr is a reference to TMP where he actually does it, Spock choosing Starfleet over the Vulcan Science Academy is from "Journey to Babel" again, Kirk's Kobayashi Maru test, cheat and even him eating an apple while doing it is from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, the Katric Arc mentioned is from the old novel The Lost Years (some of which came up in the last season of Enterprise), the name 'Delta Vega' is from "Where No Man Has Gone Before" (although it's a different planet), Scotty has a tribble in his lab, McCoy's divorce is from the original series bible and several old novels, Majel Barrett Rodenberry did some computer voice work (she was the computer voice throughout Prime Universe Trek), the elder Spock is referred to as 'Ambassador Spock' by the Romulans, his title from "Unification"Ignoring the "real Trek" silliness, you missed all the Trek references in the last two movies??![]()
If you wouldn't mind, could you bring some examples of such references?
As for me, the Abram's Universe is something entirely different. This universe is a newborn and it needs to be carefully and thoroughly developed.
King Daniel Into Darkness said:Forgot 'the Mudd incident' Sulu mentions (and it's his impounded ship Kirk and co fly to Kronos in)
