I don't dance. I can't dance. Don't ask me to dance. I have no sense of rhythm. In high school, I was voted "Least Likely to Boogie."

Let's see....

Over the last fifteen or so years, I've done Salsa, Cha-cha, Waltz, Foxtrot, Texas Two Step, West Coast Swing, East Coast Swing, and Lindy Hop at varying times. I have been out of the scene for a while, but have been thinking an=bout taking it up again as it is good aerobic exercise

I wanted to vote for all but one option -- can I do that?

I love dancing, all kinds, watching others dance and dancing myself. I was quite a good little ballerina, won several competitions in my age-range and was auditioned for the Royal Ballet School. I made it through the first round, but my parents would've had to send me to England for the next round, which would have been impossible financially and ultimately I had to quit after only a couple of years because of the cost. Still, I loved it...this is one of my favorite childhood pics, from right before the Royal Ballet audition:

In school I loved learning dances. We did swing, line dancing, and square dancing. As an adult I'm a bit self-conscious and shy. I love dancing in clubs, but only when I am drunk or high. I do like dancing steps, though, and I'm considering taking dance lessons because I think it will be fun and will also improve my self-confidence as a dancer overall.

I love Salsa and Cha-Cha (also love slower dances like Rumba, though) and a nice Foxtrot can be so smooth and nice. Haven't tried the others you've listed but damn... I'd love to try Lindy Hop. It always looks so crazy! Looks like a really quirky version Jive. :p

I enjoy Tango but unlike most other people can't stand Argentine Tango.

I would love to learn to dance, but right now my schedule doesn't permit for it. I definitely plan to in the future, though.

Oh, I love to dance! I'm really, really bad at it, but I have so much fun that I don't care! (so I guess that puts me at option 2 and option 5!)

Hubby and I keep threatening to take some sort of ballroom lessons. Is there some sort of dance that 2 "rhythmically challenged" people who have a lot of fun on a dance floor could learn without feeling too bad about ourselves? ;)

Well, I'm a white dude, soooooo...

I know it was a joke but come on... :p
You're German and I know for a fact that Germans can dance!
They're just a little shy when dancing in a club... I need to explain my "anything goes on the dancefloor" attitude a little better when dancing with Germans.
You don't understand. You haven't seen me dance. I'm not just white. I'm whiter than sour cream. I'm Weird Al. I'm Tom Cruise.

In Tropic Thunder.

I love dancing. I am also terrible at it. I don't care. :D

I used to go clubbing when I was younger. Like, a lot.

During winter, it was mostly rock clubs and concerts, moshing and pogoing with the best of them. During summer, there are a lot of outdoor disco clubs on the hills surrounding my city, so those were my spots of choice.

I also used to spend my holidays On the Adriatic Riviera, which is kinda the Mecca for dance clubs in Italy, so I went to a lot of clubs, from small friendly dancehalls to humongous mega-structures of pain, sweat, and techno music. Nowadays I'm too old for that (thankfully?), but I had a lot of fun.

When I'm old I'm totally going to dance school with my partner and be that cute old couple everybody goes "d'awww" with.

Do it!!! Trust me, it's awesome, you're both going to have a blast. It's a wonderful activity for a couple.
And you don't know if you really can't dance until you've tried. You might actually be good at it! I'd just get some ballroom lessons. Over here they just teach you a few dances in succession over a few months when you get started. That way you get to try different stuff and then you know which you enjoy most.

A lot of clubbing or a lot younger? :p
Don't tell me you're a tame iguana now! :D

Actually I don't even go clubbing a lot. I prefer places where you can actually have a conversation but once in a while... I just love dancing so what can I do?! And what did I buy all these dresses and fancy fashion for if I don't go out to wear the stuff, right?

A lot both.

Also, I have been a tame iguana for a long time now. I don't mind it: there is a time for everything under heaven. I enjoyed my wild years, but right now there is nothing that I enjoy more than watching Peppa Pig with my lizard consort and reptilian heir. :D

Aww, there's nothing wrong with that. :) But even then you can still be a classy, elegant iguana dancing a Tango or something!
