At last it's over. When was the last time that the Super Bowl was a blow out?

Manning apologists, get your asses out here, let's talk.

Historically having played with great offensive talent, having played inside a dome pumped with artificial crowd noise for almost his entire career, the man has yet to win more than one Superbowl, which, by the way, was against a markedly inferior team. Why?

    Results matter. Winning Championships matter.

He's a great quarterback, but he will never surpass the likes of Brady and Montana. Never.

    BANZAI!!!!

Seattle's 43 points are the most by one team since Tampa Bay 2003 and the 35 points score difference is the most since Dallas 1993.

Well, that sucked. :( Were the Broncos stoned or something? I don't think I've ever seen them play so badly.

Leave it to gblews to cater to the lowest common denominator.
At least the Patriots were competitive. Your precious Manning fell, and fell hard today.

But I'll give him credit, he is a stellar quarterback. Today, sadly, he was far from it.

    BANZAI!!!

So happy for Seattle, especially for two people; Pete Carroll and Richard Sherman. Carroll has done the same thing in Seattle he did at USC, instill a winning attitude not just during the regular season but in championship games. A lot of people were rooting against Sherman after the NFC championship game -- it would have been pretty hard on him to have then lost this game.

It also doesn't suck that Denver is now 2-5 (or 6) in the SB.

The biggest margin was San Francisco 55 Denver 10 in 1990.

:wtf: My precious Manning??? You will likely not live long enough to be this incorrect again. I am as far from a Denver/Manning fan as you can get.

    Congratulations Seattle.

Just wish they'd of gotten one more TD/conversion, and I of won the pool $275, but oh well they won the game.

I'm still happily stunned by all this. I thought it was going to be a close game, but... I never expected this meltdown. I felt sorry for Peyton. I like him, but it was business tonight.

I saw at least five fireworks displays from my house tonight. The last time a Seattle men's professional team won a championship was in 1979, before I was born. This is huge. Oh yes, and my brother was at the game!

Finally, as to the question about cornbread, I use Jiffy.

Also, Russell Wilson becomes the first black quarterback to win a Super Bowl since Doug Williams did so 25 years ago, doesn't he?

I'm not sure about that. But he is the third youngest QB to win.

No excuses for this game, but Manning himself wasn't the problem. They got beat in all phases of the game. Manning did everything he could, they just got beat.

If it had been a close game lost only by mistakes on Peyton's part, then yeah. But Denver lost this one collectively, in EVERY phase of the game.

That was simply the most boring Super Bowl I've watched since... pick one of the three Troy Aikman/Dallas Cowboys Super Bowls. Even the ads sucked... except for the one featuring Scarlett Johansson. Um, what was she selling? I forgot already...

My congratulations to Pete Carroll, the Seahawks and the city of Seattle. It's been a long time coming. Cheers!

No one is saying he was the sole reason Denver lost but trying to absolve him of any blame isn't going to work either.

I mean either he is the "super" quarterback that many were saying he was (after his great regular season) and choked in the SB, or he is simply another very good quarterback who when properly defensed, coughs up the ball and can be rendered ineffective like many others before him. Two picks and lost a fumble don't lie.

The Broncos performance was an embarrassment to the sport of football.
