DS9 is out and listed on the linked page, but is out of stock online. I've been told they should be available again in the new few weeks.

The Defiant is listed on the page I linked to (#9 on the list) and is in-stock.

Just got my third shipment, well really fourth as DS9 came by itself. And I was again very pleasantly surprised on the quality of the models. The Romulan Warbird was easily the best version I have of that ship. And Voyager was my favorite of that size of the design, though here the competition wass closer with things like Hallmark doing a really strong job as well.

Nice that the seam was far less noticeable in real life as opposed to the closeup footage.

What was odd was for the first time they changed when they debit my card 7 days earlier.

but if it helps get me closer to the rest off the US I am all for that. As the ships are starting to get really cool.

    Awesome Dimesdan :techman:

It's unusual though that the Akira-class never had the shipnames on them

^^^ It is unusual. In fact, unheard of. I suspect it was likely an accidental omission by the rendering team that built it. The only other ship I can think of with a similar lack of name labeling is the USS Vengeance, which has no name or registry at all, as far as I can tell. The latter is probably intentional, as it was supposed to be a super-secret Section 31 ship. US Navy subs have their registry numbers removed from the sails all the time before undertaking black ops. The Thunderchild, however...yeah, it should be there but isn't.

Not a problem. Happy to have helped.

I already have Defiant! Picked it up ages ago.

Well, I signed up. So far, the only model I have a slight issue with is the Borg sphere. From what I've seen, there's a stand holder on the bottom and the top of the model. Why would they do that? It just looks odd.

I got issues 5-8 and DS9 yesterday. Going to have to email about DS9. One of the lower pylons is severely out of wack.

As for the Akira-class, if you look at the magazine cover, the Thunderchild does have its name in the pix.

I see you're located in the UK though, the UK are several releases ahead of us across the pond, since it was released there first. We were charged for the Borg Sphere and Defiant a week or two ago, so they should be arriving here in the States in the next week or so, assuming the shipping delays from December/January are resolved.

The "Federaion" misspelling on the Thunderchild would bother me unless I consider that I needed a magnifying glass to be able to read it. Next up for me is the Galor class and the USS Equinox. I'm wondering when to bow out of the series though. I don't have infinite shelf space.

By the way, the Borg cube looks almost nothing at all like the free gift illustrated on the Eaglemoss web site apart from being a dark grey cube with some faux pipe work and green bits when you power it on (batteries not included).

Well as I have said before, I'm just getting most of the Starfleet vessels, but that's due to more personal taste and costs than shelf space.

I'm already feeling the shelf-space pinch, and I'm only ten issues in. Nevertheless, looking at the list, there are so many more I'll be getting. :)

Has anyone in the US started receiving the next shipment? I'm expecting it in the next week or so, if there schedule holds true, but they may still be backed up from the DS9 release.

No new shipment, and no DS9, yet my card has been charged for both.

I must say that's the one and only thing that's irritated me about this whole subscription. In general, I have absolutely no complaints. They've had great customer support whenever I've needed to contact them via phone or email, and they've delivered high-quality books and ships (mine, thankfully, never arrived broken or misshapen), and yet I find the extreme lag time between card charging and arrival to always be extraordinarily bothersome.

Yes, I know it's in the UK, which is the primary source of the delay, but I would have engineered their dispatch system so that cards aren't charged overseas until they're ready to ship locally. They should know when this happens when their satellite shipping offices are ready to send things out. In this day and age of credit card fraud and identity theft, I always have to make a conscious effort not to allow my blood pressure to rise when it happens, as I know it will always work out in the end. They have no idea what level of trust I am extending to them in this regard. :)

That's very interesting to me, it's a completely valid point, but it also marks how much shipping times have changed in the last several years.

5-10 years ago, it was nothing to place and order online, have the card charged (or eCheck processed), wait some amount of time for the funds to process, wait for the product to actually ship, then wait 2 weeks for the product to arrive by mail.

Now, we're used to places like Amazon with a huge infrastructure so I can place my order today and get it as soon as tomorrow for a nominal extra charge.

I just find it interesting, I do agree that them having your money for 3 weeks without a product (or even some sort of update) should be avoided.
