They'll resurrect him with the same tech/magic they used on Coulson!

Winter Soldier took over for a while so they might run with that plot depending on how the sequel runs. Personally the John Walker version of Cap no more was more fun, not least because I really enjoyed the Captain running around with his merry crew of Nomad, Falcon, Demolition Man, Vagabond, and Diamondback - sort of low power Avengers. Even Widow, Hawkeye, and Mockingbird would fit right in.

Speaking of John Walker, do you think that he might get introduced for a movie version of "Cap No More!"?

I'm a fan of US Agent and would be delighted to have Walker show up. Of course depending on how the Cap2 film unfolds we are likely to have our Iron Patriot in this series in the form of Bucky Barnes as Cap.

Still hoping that we get Beta Ray Bill as the Iron Patriot of the Thor solo film saga.

You know, a few years ago I would laughed and said that would never happen. However, now with how Marvel has handled their properties...I could never rule it out.

That was the one line i was most excited about to hear on Avengers and they had the perfect moment when they "assembled" for a group shot in the middle of the Battle of New York but we didn't :( ( i never understood why).

So my hopes are on Avengers 2 :techman:

As to the rumor.. i call bullshit on Cap dying in this movie. If they follow the Winter Soldier storyline and Cap's death from the comics they have all the ingredients but it's too soon. Maybe in Cap 3 at the earliest or even as the hammerblow to the stomach in Avengers 2 (we all know that Whedon gets itchy if he can't kill off at least one beloved and important character )

I can see them possibly doing a "Death of Captain America" storyline once Chris Evans is done playing the character and it's time for a recast.

I doubt they'd do a "Death of Captain America" story this early. I know all about the story from the comics, and Bucky's time as Cap, but I think it would be smarter to give us at least one more solo movie after TWS to really get attached to Steve Rogers, and to establish modern Bucky Barnes more strongly before killing (however temporarily it will be) Steve, and handing the shield to Bucky.

^That's assuming Bucky even survives 'Winter Soldier'.

I agree though, killing of Cap this soon would be very premature.

Well OK, if we're talking in "quotation fingers" then technically that "killed" Cap in that movie too. ;)

Yeah but each superhero has tons of villains to go up against so it's like a supermarket where you just grab the next thing off the shelf ;)

Only a few more months to go.. can't wait to see the Winter Soldier vs. Cap fight.. it looked awesome in the trailer.

How long ago was that? They might make it eventually. I remember the 90s cartoons adapted a lot of storylines but also added their own twists.

At the same time, they should focus on the classic stories before recent ones.

If they follow the Winter Soldier story though it's possible they may do a disembodied skull possessing somebody else through the power of the cube.

I wouldn't mind seeing less cheesy versions of the Skeleton Crew and Serpent Society, although if the Wolverine is anything to go by, I won't hold my breath - they made Viper even more cheesy and I didn't think that was possible.

Disney only has one spot locked up for the Super Bowl (which has been sold out for more than a month), so it'll be either Guardians of the Galaxy or Captain America (or Need for Speed, if we're being entirely fair). My money is on Cap, though. The other known spots, for the record, are Transformers 4 and Amazing Spider-Man 2.

As for the post-credits scene, I can't imagine it would be a straight Avengers 2 lead. They don't even begin filming Avengers 2 until next month; when the extended Avengers promo was attached to The First Avenger, The Avengers was about three-quarters of the way through production. I wouldn't be shocked to see another Guardians of the Galaxy, probably with Chris Pratt, since his character is the audience surrogate.

It could be an original scene that teases what's to come in Avengers 2 rather than a straight preview. I can't see them teasing GotG in Cap....

The Avengers trailer at the end of Cap 1 was an exception; all the other post-credit scenes have been original scenes filmed specifically for the movies they were attached to, although in the case of both Thor post-credit scenes, they were directed by the helmers of the film they were leading into. Joss Whedon directed the Thor post-credit scene that set up The Avengers (with Fury showing the Tesseract to Selvig), and James Gunn directed the Collector tag scene at the end of Thor: The Dark World. So it's quite possible that Cap:TWS will have a post-credit scene setting up Avengers 2 and directed by Whedon, but filmed separately from the production of A2 itself.

Yeah, Avengers 2 makes the most sense to me. Depending on how much time they want to spend on backstory in A2 itself, they might introduce Ultron then. Although it's worth keeping in mind Iron Man 3 didn't have a traditional post-credits scene so anything is possible.

Considering that according to some reports the Baron Strucker stuff in Avengers: Age of Ultron will be at the beginning of the movie ala the "James Bond" pre-opening credits sequences, a lead-in to A:AoU in CA:TWS would make sense.
