I get nervous at Christmastime (TrekBBS problems)

Even though it was, what, over a decade ago? I still get nervous logging into the TrekBBS around Christmastime. I'm always afraid that I'm going to try and visit the page and be unable to log in. That I will come back a day or two later and find that threads have vanished, posts have been deleted, and members have vanished!

Does anybody else have these totally irrational feelings about this place?

I won't be surprised the day that I goto log into here and it's gone. I fully expect that's how it will be, here one day and gone the next without any warning.

I remember when that happened. I lost my recent promotion to Commodore as a result and had to spend two or three months posting enough to get it back.

I missed the great purge since I'd registered in June of that year, and had forgotten about this place for a while. I logged in sometime in '03 and remarked to myself that it looked quite a bit different. Christmas of 2003 was probably the highlight of my time on this board so it's around this time of year that I think fondly of this place.
