Heard back from the Facebook crew:

What's the latest word on DS9 for the states? Will we be getting it about the same time we get issues 5&6?

If it's the middle is January, why a month behind with issues 5&6?

So I don't panic, when do you all foresee issues 7&8 releasing?

Interesting, they must have encountered the issue part-way through the payment/shipping process.

I got my Romulan Warbird & U.S.S. Voyager without issue last Friday, so it must have been an issue encountered part-way through the payment/shipping process. Looks like a bunch of subscribers will be getting 4 issues in January.

In order to move this thread into a less monetary/shipping & receiving direction, why don't we talk about special issues we'd all like to see that aren't listed on Memory-Alpha?

I wonder if they're going to go further than what is listed so far. I want them to do probes along with space stations & JJverse ships. And by probes, I mean the big ones like V'Ger and the Whale Probe.

I wouldn't mind seeing Nomad. I don't know about a Sp Ed tho.

Are they planning on doing the shuttlecraft? I think the runabout is on the list, but that's the only one close that I've seen.

In addition to Earth spacedock from III-VI, I'd like to see the Regula station or the orbital office from TMP.

Starshipwise, I want the U.S.S. Pasteur. Also, I know I've seen the Centaur-class listed on Facebook and Memory Alpha, but it's probably so far down the line that they may never get to it.

I'm glad that the runabout is in the mix. I hope more shuttles show up later. The Cochrane from Voyager has always been a favorite, also the Enterprise-E Shuttle from Insurrection I'd love to see made. Of course the Delta Flyer too and the NX-01 shuttlepod

Definately the never before made issues are what I look for. Of coarse the greats must be made, but I like to see stuff that has never been produced before as a toy or model. I would also like to see some of the shuttlecraft, and the various space stations (SB 375, Regula, etc). I would also like to see the Maquis Fighter, the one seen heavily during the Dominion War, not the Raider which is made a lot (and also on the list for 2014). I also wouldn't mind seeing some of the major fan made models (like DS9 II or the Titan), but that is unrealistic.

^ You may be right that it's unrealistic, but I'd love to see them do some of the novel-only ships, such as the Titan and Aventine.

I also thought it would be really cool if they did something like a "ships that almost were" type of special miniseries. It would be really great to get models of ships like the Phase II Enterprise and the Voyager study model.

Hmm. I too would enjoy seeing the Phase II version of the Enterprise as a model.

I would also like to see the "Planet of the Titans" version of the Enterprise as designed by Ralph McQuarrie. I've seen fan models of it and thought it looked interesting.

I think the CGI models from DS9 might have been more of a yellow-brown, though that might just be lighting. (The STO model is yellow-brown.) The Micro-Machines toy is bright yellow, though.

To quote Mr. Scott: "Why in God's name would you want that bucket of bolts?" :wtf:

    :p

Especially when there are so, so many more tasty ship being made from across the spectrum of modern Trek?

I'm hoping we get those, too. One of the lists somewhere has the Delta Flyer, but other than that I've not seen any mention of any small craft.

That would be cool, too. Doubtful, but cool.

I imagine that if this line is a continued success -- especially when they get to one-off ships and later issues -- they might expand and continue it. Do the stuff not previously thought of.

I mean, if it makes money, there's no reason to stop. Not when Trek has more ships than you can shake a warp core at! :D

I'm just so worried they'll abruptly end due to low sales. Especially before they get beyond the hero ships we've got 5 versions of already.

That's the ironic thing. I think a lot the big die-hard fans ARE waiting for the unusual ships and perhaps skipping the hero vessels. Sales might actually increase once we get to the oddball ships. I myself am really looking forward to the Breen warship. I also suggested to them the Vulcan shuttle and warp sled from TMP; kind of a 2 for one thing. They replied that they completely forgot about that one and would put it on their list.

The Chaffee from DS9's "The Sound of Her Voice" would be cool; I don't know if its well enough known if you've never seen the calendars its been included in.

It would be nice to add Galileo Seven (NCC-1701-7) in that mix as well.

Agree, shuttle should be part of the collection.

Speaking of shuttlecraft, I wouldn't mind having the shuttles that were used on Spacedock in TSFS and TVH and the new one that was used in TUC and GEN.

Starship-wise, I'm not sure if it has been mentioned yet, but I've always like the little-seen Sydney-class.

I was debited $$39.90. This is the same amount I've been billed previously so I'm thinking it's for 6&7.

Yep, I just received a second charge for $38, which should be for DS9.

Man, all of the sudden having Eaglemoss charge $77.90 in late December makes my wallet hurt.
