    Hey guys!

    I've been slowly but surely toiling away at my Star Trek hobby film, and as the demands of actual production are starting to get a bit more involved on the first installment, I've found that I don't have as much time to write. We're hoping to find a writer (or writers) who is interested in joining the team!

    WHAT IS "STAR TREK: TRITON"?

    Star Trek Triton is a fan film homage to the mid 90's Star Trek, warts and all! The story follows the heroic exploits of the titular starship Triton's Captain and crew as they explore outer space.

    WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

    Basically, a screenwriter who's able to work from the rough outlines and story breakdowns provided. We have really two goals on the team;
    1) Have fun doing something that we're into.
    2) Make something cool that other people will enjoy.

    If anybody on the board thinks they're interested just shoot me a message or reply here! Alternatively you could jump on over to the facebook page and leave us a message there!

    Purely out of morbid curiosity, are you looking for someone to write your first script, or for those of succeeding stories?

    Sorry, I should have been clearer: Our first script is done and in production, and because that's taking so much time and attention what we're hoping to find is a writer for subsequent episodes.

    We're not doing the tried and true 44 minute Star Trek stories though, it's more of a common webisode format consisting of a bunch of shorter-form mini-episodes that continue a more serialized story. The hope is after all is said and done you could just string them all together for a more traditional experience if that's your cup of tea. :)

    Ah that makes more sense. Thanks for clarifying.

    I think it's smart to do the smaller shorts as opposed to the big hour-longs, if only to get your feet wet, so to speak. Quite looking forward to seeing what you guys come up with!

    Thanks, that's exactly what I feel too.

    I've never done anything in live action before so it's all a big expiriment for me, and I'd rather start small!
