And he was more than obviously talking about the color of her costume and nothing else. In his post he didn't call a single person ugly.
I gotta say Bob's Burgers as well. The whole look of the show is so ugly and r eulsive it's unwatchable even in small snippits like the ads. ugh.

He's the Seth MacFarlane character for whom that episode of South Park most applies. He doesn't have characterization, they just put him in a different costume to make whatever reference they want to make at the time, and he does it in a bad Paul Lynde voice.
There was this short lived cartoon on Cartoon Network that featured tons of neon colors and a character that was literally a turd (IIRC) that I watched for like 15 seconds before stopping out of fear it would induce schizophrenia (the art style literally looked like art made by a schizophrenic that I'd seen in a psychology book).

Yes, this is exactly what I meant. Thank you for expressing it much more eloquently than I. For something so visual as television, I do think it's fair to judge the aesthetics.
I had a feeling someone would bring up this example.
I mean, he literally looks like shit. If I start to think about it too much it starts to bother me as well.As Takeru says, I was not criticizing Kat Dennings, I was only commenting on the red and yellow uniforms they wear to work.
I've never seen a human being that so repulsed me I had to look away. Humans have more depth to them than physical appearance. Animated characters and the visual aesthetics of a TV set, however, do not.

Not a fan of Bob's Burgers either, but I always thought that the girl looked more like a cross-dressing Milhouse from The Simpsons than Meg.

Yeah, I haven't really subscribed to South Park's view of Seth MacFarlane & co. I never felt it necessary for a joke to blend into the episode's overall narrative. I think Roger's hilarious, and not just a thing to hang misfitting jokes on.

Some violence, or maybe it's the attitude toward violence-as-entertainment. I think Tarantino's Death Proof is violence not done right, and I think Rambo IV is violence done right. Jackass: wrong. Penn & Teller: right. CSI: wrong. The Walking Dead: right.
I don't find Family Guy type violence entertaining, just provocative. Like comedy of violating norms vs creating a new perspective. It's one thing to tell a story or make a discovery; it's quite another to just disgust people and call your work as an entertainer done.
The Hangover is violence done wrong, but it's funny, and if you're funny all is forgiven. That was Michael Richard's problem; he lost the thread of humor and allowed it to turn to vitriol. Also, racism was his problem - as it is for a lot more people than who reveal it publicly.
Also - the club manager should have headed off the problem quietly and not left it up to the act. The club manager bears a direct responsibility in Richard's debacle. The odd heckle is funny. A constant disturbance to the show is the manager's problem.
Also I just want to say, if you've seen Richards in Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, you can see he certainly paid a price for that incident, and appears thoroughly contrite, and certainly smarter career-wise.
So yeah, racism is ugly and personally I don't find much entertainment value in the promotion of stereotype - nor in its opposite evangelistic cultural relativism. Perfectly distributed diversity and constant reminders not to "possibly" offend people - while at the same time embracing offensiveness when it challenges convention.
Either you want to focus on differences or not.
Then again, I try no to objectify humanity so that might put me in the minority where human degradation is concerned.
