Breaking Bad Final Half Season

But if they're going to torture him over a long period of time, like they have Jessie, and force him into a similar situation as Jesse, and he has no access to the chemicals and lab equipment he needs to make a faster acting poison, it's better than nothing.

Maybe the ricin is for Lydia?

If Walt wanted a suicide measure he could do better than that. It's certainly not for the drug cartel, that's what the guns are for.

Given the information currently available to the audience, Lydia is the only target that makes sense. Unless the target is Saul.

Maybe the ricin is for Lydia?
In one of the Talking Bad after-shows, they postulated that they've made such a big deal over Lydia drinking tea, with close ups and all, that the tea is likely to be the delivery system for the ricin. I would agree that that is the likeliest scenario.

Which is probably why it won't play out that way...

Just watched Walt's phone call to Skyler again. Damn, it's so obvious that he was doing a put on. You could see that it pained him to have to talk to her like that. Don't know why I wasn't paying attention to that before. Maybe I was too taken in by the harsh words.

New episode starts now.

"Granite State" (aka New Hampshire, finally.)

I feel the same way, the harsh words really took me for a ride as well.

It's almost unthinkable to call that a build-up episode, what with Robert Forster showing up & Gray Matter, & Jesse losing nearly everything left that wasn't shit about his life, but that was essentially what it was, all build-up

Yet, it's more mesmerizing than anything I've ever seen on tv

Another good episode. This one felt a lot different. Everyone's life has changed and look what Walt has become. Quite the transformation. Quite the fall. It was just as hard to watch as recent episodes. Looking forward to the big finale where it looks like Walt will get an ounce of redemption.

If Walt had surrendered to the police like he planned he would have gotten an ounce of redemption. Now it looks like he's going to murder Elliot & Gretchen.

At one point, I was thinking about what Flynn must have been going through, disappointed that we didn't get anything. Then the show cut to a commercial break and when it came back, we got the phone call with Flynn. Clever scheme to get him the money, I must say.

I was also impressed that we got Walt's old friends from Gray Matter Technologies. The show didn't have to do that but they did.

Jesse's still out there, he has to be rescued and all he's got is Walt. The show started with them, so it's fitting that it ends with them. Walt can't undo everything he's done, but getting Jesse is something.

Could Matt Damon and Lydia have been more suspicious-looking? Her with those big sunglasses and the two of them talking and whispering while sitting at different tables?

Absolutely wonderful episode. I guess that Walt figures out that Jesse is alive because of Charlie Rose? Those Grey matter assholes really suck. I really like how this episode played out. I like how it sets everything up for the final showdown. This thing really needs to end with Walt and Jesse. It's a real shame though that they aren't working together anymore. I think one direction that they could have gone was Walt and Jesse working together to take down the Nazi's, but I think I'll be happy with however it ends.

He doesn't know yet, but we know and he'll find out soon enough.

Walt will kill them with the ricin and somehow get their fortune to Skyler and the kids. The fortune that he (and by extension they) should have had all along. I dunno...

I've always thought of Walt and Jesse as Batman and Robin. The show's got a lot of interesting characters but they're the dynamic duo. Now he's Nightwing and he's in trouble. We may get one last team-up yet.

From that interview he can deduce that "HIS" product is still being manufactured. Still owning Albuquerque, links to Europe. He knows they took Pinkman back to their HQ, & he likely knows that his product couldn't be produced By Todd alone

I don't even know if it truly matters, really, but he probably knows Pinkman is still there. There really is no time for Walt to deal with Gray Matter at all. He doesn't own that anyway. He owns Heisenberg, & that's where this is heading
