Miss Chicken (the cat) is ill again.

Our cat Chewie was the runt of a litter to a mother thrown on the street while giving birth. Chewie got stuck and her mother chewed her left rear foot trying to get her out. It soon withered and dropped off.

They were all rescued and Chewie is fine except for being a rather small cat with only three feet !

Wow! I'm glad they're okay, Relayer. I'm glad Chewie has a forever home. :)
Our dog, Dallie, was a runt, and she was tossed out by her owners when she was only a few weeks old. We think they abused her anyway, because her tail was broken, and even after it healed you could feel the mass of muscle tissue where the break had occurred. We had her for almost 16 years before I had to put her down (she had cancer). It tore my world apart. I cried more over losing my doggy than I ever had any other family member. She was my world, and I won't lie, even after almost 3 years (it will be 3 in November), the world still looks a little grayer than it used to.

Miss Chicken, I don't envy you what you may have to do in the near future. For what it's worth, you have my sympathies. I know that won't do much good when the time comes, but you have them.

So very sorry to hear of this news... I have had two kitties before, and know what it's like to lose them. My prayers to both of you.

We just got back from having Miss Chicken put to sleep. Her suffering is over. She is now happily making her way over the Rainbow Bridge.

I am getting her cremated and have chosen a nice urn for her. Her ashes will be ready in a couple of days.

I'm sorry for your loss. :( I like that we all got to know her a little though, in a way.
