Netflix Presents: Orange is the New Black

I wish I hadn't read that actually, it has major implications for Piper's storyline. It's not like Alex is my favourite character, but I loved the chemistry she had with Piper.

I read another casting announcement by accident the other day, which has ruined something else for me too. :wtf:
 
If you want a show that doesn't take risks or change you are watching the wrong show. This is by the woman who changed Weeds around at least once a season.
 
For the record, Netflix has officially denied that Prepon is being written out next season. I got the impression from what I read though that this could "change'.

I like Prepon but this show has so many chracters with such diverse and interesting stories, and great acting and writing, I doubt I'll miss "Alex", and I did like her.

I never knew Prepon had such a nice rack. Is that wrong? :devil:
 
I heard Taryn Manning (Pennsatucky) will be back as a regular in season two, which if true would mean that Piper didn't murder her.

I was so happy when Piper finally struck back against her, only to be totally shocked that she just kept hitting her. Ad hitting her. I was left with the impression anything could have happened.

Oh well. If it is true, I'm sure they can work wonders still. Besides, I also read CrazyEyes and Taystee would be back as regulars too, which I heartily endorse.

True. It just caught me off guard that one of the best things about the first season would be disappearing. I obviously never learnt my lesson from Game of Thrones.

To be fair, their relationship was non-existent by the end of the season due to Piper rejecting Alex for Larry. I suppose they could go anywhere now. And of course Netflix says it's not even confirmed that Alex is leaving, so it's all too soon.

Ah yes I heard that too Seven of Five, or should I call you Crazy Eyes? (I so love that character).

But IF she had murdered her she would never get out of prison and what would poor Larry do? We all care so much about that..

I never got that impression, actually. I fully anticipated that character to return. I'll keep the spoiler, though.
 
Maybe I just wanted the character dead, and thought that's what happened? Hehe.

I just thought that Piper had a pretty shit time since she went to prison, and then hit rock bottom after having neither Larry nor Alex. I just thought she'd finally flipped. Maybe I have a sick imagination?

And I love CrazyEyes too, she has some great lines. I loved how we came to know the real her.

Really like the show. Probably one of the best shows in the past decade. The casting was pretty much perfect and the writing was tight. :techman:
 
For me, this show, Scandal and Breaking Bad are my must-watches. I cannot wait to see season 2!

We gotta know more about

AND OF COURSE RED AND CRAZY EYES!

I downloaded it and it's my most played song on Itunes right now. So catchy.

It's a cool tune and it's interesting because (while I haven't listened exhaustively to her) it doesn't sound like her usual music from what I've heard. Bet that song's done OK for her, you get pretty hooked binging to Orange.

I'm listening to other songs from her and she's really good on the Piano. She kind of reminds me of Alicia Keys but wasn't there another female artist who had that sultry voice and played the Piano really well in the 90s or early 00s. Was it Enya? Spektor is bringing out a familiarity with someone but I can't think of who.
