Area 51... truth?

I had thought it was common knowledge that Area 51 itself is a real place. Of course there's none of this UFO Alien crap going on - *that's* the fantasy.

In another 50 years, they'll admit the aliens are really at Area 52.

Edit: Apologies for stepping on Kaziarl's joke, missed it until after the post.

I had their UFO from The Invaders, and one of their models of aliens (Superman). I think I had their Spock too, I remember cutting some copper screening from a hobby shop to be the lid for a tiny communicator.

Got to say, there stories were amusing, but the whole thing was boring and still reaked of of lies and hidden information.

Of course there's hidden information. It was classified for a reason, after all. Specifically, by definition Top Secret material is that which may cause "exceptionally grave damage" to national security if made publicly available. In practice, simply marking information as TS is often not enough----the most secure information has additional restrictions slapped on it for compartmentalization.

Most people probably wouldn't bother lying, they'd just stop talking at the right times to avoid disclosure.
There are no aliens there. The real aliens have been manipulating the government for ages. Obama is the current beneficiary of their patronage. Area 51 was just a dodge to keep people from the real truth, but with the International space station, the aliens no longer need a landing site on Earth.

Enough with these silly aliens theories. Everyone knows the only aliens on Earth manipulating our governments are genetically modified humans from the future.

Damnit, when are we going to find out the truth about the Aurora?
Yeah, they made great model kits back in the 1950s and '60s. Unfortunately, the "revival" of Aurora turned out to be a scam.

I've actually seen decent evidence to suggest that Aurora was never a plane, but a procedure - something to do with automated inflight refueling, and that's what the AU and R may have stood for. I forget what the rest of the acronym was.

Damnit, when are we going to find out the truth about the Aurora?

I've heard that Aurora never really existed.

However, that secret space plane launched from beneath a modified XB-70 is another story.

I've heard that it was suborbital only but could launch small satellites weighing only a few hundred pounds on into LEO.

I think that was BLACKSTAR

Blackswift is about as good as it gets.

Air Launch is hard.

Stratolauncher http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/StratoLaunch
and AN-225 are the only platforms that can do air launch with any real payloads, and AN-225 is cargo only these days--only ferrying Buran around for a bit.

Interim Hotol and MAKS, and Svityaz were only just possible.

I don't think Aurora existed, or it it did, it wound up melted

Wright Pat AFB - Hangar 11 for the creatures from outer space.

Area 51 is just the public cover up.

In today's era, individual aircraft corps have their own black works sites.

nah, Kirtland AFB, backs right up to Sandia Natnl labs
