Marvel planning Guardians of the Galaxy movie!

Raccoons are freaky. They're smart, they have hands and they have no fear of people. But clips of anyone shooting a machine gun like in a parody of a Bruce Willis movie just bore me.

And those Nova uniforms look not only bad, but amateurish. My interest in this movie is now on the decline again.

Ever since Green Lantern, I've been guarded (pun, intended) about movies. I never want to get too excited, because, well, GL looked good beforehand and then disappointed. However, those clips are making it very hard not to get excited!

But who's voicing the damn animal already?! I don't care who's voicing the bloody tree! :p

Tyler Bates is scoring the movie. From James Gunn's Facebook page:

Grateful to be working with my favorite composer, Tyler Bates, on Guardians of the Galaxy. Unlike most films, Tyler writes huge chunks of the score first so that I can actually film to the music. During action scenes and huge dramatic moments we blare the score on set so that the cast, crew, and camera can move in harmony with the music. Music is often an afterthought in film, but never for us. And everything Tyler's done so far has been amazing!

I love the idea of actually playing the music while filming. I've never heard of anyone doing that before.

^ The Wachowskis & Tom Tykwer did the same thing on Cloud Atlas. But they're hardly the only ones - Sergio Leone used to do it, too.
