What you DON'T want to see in Star Trek 3

I loved Into Darkness, really did. But I do want an original story for STIII. I'm not saying that STiD wasn't original, because it went a completely differeny way then the episode and movie that inspired, shall we say. But, it was inspired. And I'd love to see something that has no basis in any TOS episode or movie what so ever.

So:
-No TOS inspired story
-No TOS inspired antagonist
-No TOS inspired secondary characters, like M'Benga or so.

Completely stand-alone. :)

Do these writers have the skills to come up with an original and unique story that will stand on its own while not being formulaic? I hope so. Revenge is a dish best served not reheated. No more antagonists that want to destroy Earth (TMP, TVH, STFC, ST09, STID). No more really, really big bad guy ships (STFC, NEM, ST09, STID). I want a thinking fan's story with danger yet intrigue, cunning, intelligence on the part of all of the characters and not just the hero, unexpected yet plausible plot twists, etc.

Not yet another revenge driven madman with a huge supership who's trying to destroy entire planets ... please! Make the villain calm, sneaky and intelligent instead of hot headed and so full of hatred that he blindly does all the stupid things that Shinson, Nero and Khan did.
Frankly, I'm tired of the Evil Villain[TM] altogether.

By the very premise of the reboot, the films have set themselves up for exactly these elements. Everything is there, waiting to be "rediscovered." A TV series could explore "new" plotlines, but the next Trek film will almost certainly capitalize on the aforementioned aspect, just as STiD did.

Look for the Doomsday Machine or V'Ger, with a Klingon subplot thrown in (maybe sprinkled with some no-nonsense Organians).

But how can they do original? Hell, most of literature is inspired or based on or similar other, earlier works. Originality is extremely difficult.

Transwarp Beaming - Lets pretend it never happened, OK?

EDIT: someone said that

So, NO space jumps?! Can't have it three movies in a row now can we!!
NO EARTH. Give the Earthlings a break, leave them alone.

Granted, of course. I ment original is in not based/inspired by an episode or movie from the TOS era.

The names Bob Orci, Alex Kurtzman and / or Damon Lindelof during the credits.

Man, you're going to be disappointed.

I don't want to see Leonard Nimoy again. It's not that I dislike his appearances, but it's time for the new crew to stand on their own.
